No Naaman is making an impact.

Close enough to tie....

We won.................RBs were the better team until Tristan Jones had that fabulous punt return then our come-from-behind Riders showed us that they could indeed give us another win. I'm still a bit bemused about it all, pete. Happy for the win but not at all happy with the way we played the majority of the game. Bartell's punt to the end zone won us the game with the go ahead point. Rock on Josh.

Final: 18 - 17

Not liking Chris Jones like you once did?

Excuse me? I gave Jones credit when it was due............and that if you read back over my posts, dear..........was not at all frequent. I've made my opinions on Chris Jones crystal clear and tonight's performance is yet another example of why he needs to concentrate on coaching and coaching alone. He is not capable of wearing so many hats. His attention needs to be on coaching this team. Period.

It was pure happenstance that Tristan got us that TD and put some life back in the team. Had that not happened, I fully believe the RBs would have won the game. His decision to stick with Kevin while I was completely against it, worked out - he got lucky there.

We have to have a better game plan, pete - one that the players buy into from the get-go and execute if not to perfection at least to the best of their abilities. Tonight's performance was lacking in many areas though I do give a lot of credit to individual players on both the O and the D. Jefferson, especially comes to mind as does LaFrance - the little guy did himself and the team proud tonight.

Hamilton up next. If I knew which team was going to show up, I would predict an easy Rider win............trouble is I don't have a crystal ball.

You're right. He has to give up the GM spot but then again as GM he has scouted and brought in some serious young talent.

I was never happy about how he came in but he is growing on me and as a team owner, I'll give him October.

Ti'Cats have only beaten BC for Western teams. It's a completely different league out our way.

Well. . . crap.

Can we bring Burris out of retirement?

Your guys really did play a better game, Tec. I wouldn't throw Lindley under the bus yet. He was in control for over 3 Qs and had some awesome completions. Powell is simply amazing. Sinopoli, Elingson and Spencer are fearsome receivers and your defense managed to rattle Kevin for most of the night, knocking down passes and pressuring him into sloppy throws.

It was either serendipity or the Gods of Football deigned that Rider fans needed a win and bestowed one upon us.

I don't care how many good players he brings in pete, if he can't get them to execute on the field. Honestly. We've got a good team. They won us games by showing us that. We have the right stuff. Jones needs to concentrate on giving them a chance to succeed. He needs to come up with game plans that take into account the team we are playing against and bring the guys up to speed on their efficiencies and deficiencies. The guys want to play good ball - give them the chance by being as prepared as they possibly can be.

I should buy into the team - it would give me an even better reason to voice my feelings about the way the team is being managed.

We play Calgary again in Week 14 - that worries me, a lot.

Keep checking or get your ass out here and go chew him out at practice. They are open to the public and you'll get a face to face.

Uh..........pete..............the shares are currently sold out according to the site.......never-the-less I will bookmark it and keep checking back as chances of my buying shares is much better than getting back there in person. I have commitments that will keep me here well into the late Spring of 2018 and I was so hoping to get down to Vegas for the Continental Cup but that is out of the picture too.

Congrats on winning your game in hand on BC. Usually the hardest game to win.

And you won by the play that is right up there in excitement along side a bases loaded walk -- the punt single.

There is membership too and shares do come up for sale or live in Regina.

Come out in early summer, do the practices, the tailgate and a game.

I should have kept my seasons tickets the 2 years I was in BC. It took 7 season to make it to row 20 on the 40 but it was back into lotto anyway.

WTG Ti-Cats 21-14 at the 1/2.

Watching the Cat's game right now and am glad I screwed up when I wrote that we would play them next, it is Toronto we play next week. Cats are looking hungry and playing good ball - lots of pressure on RR tonight.

Thanks for that, IRBS. Josh Bartell has been gold all season long.

Yeah, Argos next week. Next home game is Vs.Red Blacks.

That PI call on the Cat defender was total BS, pete. I am in complete agreement with Glenn and Cuthie on that. The refs are starting to treat the slightest little push off as a major penalty and it sucks.

Go, Redblacks! Preferably toward the other team's end zone, but we'll work on that after you figure out the whole "throw the ball to somebody wearing the same colors as you" thing.

Yes, well that is something that Kev is prone to do and he will have to work that out himself............but I am not holding my breath. Standing in the pocket like a sitting duck doesn't help either. Jones has a lot of work to do after that game yesterday. He, for sure, should have made watching this game required viewing for the entire team with lots of Q and A afterwards.

WTF...how?

How what?

Well Cats, that's what happens when discipline is thrown out the window ........and your opposition has a QB like Rickie Ray. You should have won this one.............truly. I really feel for the guys who played good clean ball and am right pissed at the ones who drew all those costly penalties.

I saw a few things that Jones should put in his playbook. The Argo D was not as good as the Cat D. The O can be porous at times and RR is not known to run unless a parkway opens up for him. Green was his primary receiver tonight. Wilder can be stopped on the ground. But as was seen tonight, the primary target must be Rickie Ray. They have to pressure him all night long.

Go Hoovers!

That was sloppy football with touching a player being pass interference. Jeepers H Crackers!

Hoovers aren't doing so well in the FG dept.

A tigercat loss is good for the 4th place team in the west. (Of course, I am of the opinion that a ti-cat loss is good for a lot more and there can never be too many of them but that's just me. :) )

I think Winnipeg and Edmonton are playing soccer. Winnipeg is leading Edmonton 1-0 almost at the end of the 1st half.

Riders have that chance for Eastern wildcard.

This is a rare moment that I'll cheer for the Hoovers.

If Edmonton loses tonight, they will be tied for 3rd with SK. All things being equal, they play each other on last game of season in SK. That could be for the right to play Winnipeg in Winnipeg or play in Ottawa or Toronto. I do believe that SK would have tiebreaker if they win that game and wind up tied with Edmonton due to a series sweep. They are pretty much screwed with Winnipeg having lost 2/3 to them.

Esks are .583 and SK is .538 so they will still be up on SK
