Doug Ford's government is under fire for scrapping part of the legislation that would have capped the price of resale tickets at 50 per cent of face value as tickets to the Toronto Raptors' first game of the NBA Finals have skyrocketed to as high as $60,000.
(And who in their right mind would pay such a price for tickets?? I suggest this is ADVERTISING designed to make lower prices LOOK more acceptable to ordinary fans!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
(Firstly -as any honest person knows- multiple govts have tried and FAILED to regulate ticket scalpers!! It is not possible to catch all the scalpers out there!! And it is ESPECIALLY HARD when short hands cops and over burdened crown prosecutors often dismiss ticket scalping rip offs as a “civil matter” and advocate the complainant go whine in small claims court!! How sad that LIE-berals do not wish to recognize how costly and ineffective their courts are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
The Progressive Conservatives paused implementation of that section of the Ticket Sales Act shortly after winning the election in June 2018. It was cancelled altogether in the spring budget.
(In other words it was yet another last minute LIE-beral PLOY that LIE- berals would have ignored if they got re-elected - and which they can now sneer at Ford for not trying to implement IDIOT LIE-beral policy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)

At the time, the government argued the rule was unenforceable. On Wednesday, the minister of Government and Consumer Services said the market should determine prices, not the government.
(Exactly RIGHT!! There is NO LAW that says you are entitled to watch basket- ball or any other sport at a price that SUITS YOU!! In related matters- the deal which will pay Kawhi Leonard $142 million dollars is a clear sign of INSANITY!!
