I believe this all got started from 'one' person who made a statement on twitter or whatever similar,

then it ballooned and became something the media just had to make something big out of.

The mayor of bellingham came on the news and apologized for that statement, and said that they

don't feel that way at all, appreciate the canadian business, etc etc.

Its all about their economy, so how can they complaign, (which they aren't), and as far as canadians

being rude, that is also from the one person, which became part of the ballooning.

This story is much to do about nothing.

..and this does what for the export of your resources that are already at full
capacity?

I said manufacturing, not resources.. what is Muclair bitching about??? Our petro dollar is killing jobs in Ontario.. (manufacturing jobs)

Oh yeah, don't shoot the messenger - you know my views on Muclair.

The downside of social media is the promotion of childlike ignorance, drama, and sheeple effect.

God love Facebook.. what's their stocks down to now?? LOL

Is there enough saving to be had by shopping in the U.S. to warrant going to Bellingham? I doubt it.

yes it is very beneficial. When we lived in newton, which isn't far from the border, I shopped there
many times, as our dollar at that time was about 1.05 or thereabouts. I would do lots of grocery
shopping, and fill the gastank, do other shopping, and save lots.

How long ago was that? I was in Bellingham a few months ago and the prices, while lower, were not
low enough to warrant a trip from Vancouver........and absolutely not from Vancouver Island

Yes. It's considerably cheaper.

I've never shopped in the states, but I haven't lived that close to the U.S. border. I doubt
if it would be feasible traveling from Vancouver Island.

Seems to me, some people from Bellingham, are upset with a specific group of Canadian citizens, that have a recognized culture of being rude and pushy.

I really do hate it when people perpetuate their stereotypes.

Some different "Canadian" accents as well.

Oh my.
