That was a sweet arrangement, too - with the Hawaiian steel guitar (I think. Or ukelele?) and the children's voices. He's sung it a capella the other times, I'm pretty sure.

Lizzie must be who I talked to slightly when I met Kris in Worcester - the woman was a blonde, but I was sort of star-struck at the moment so I didn't memorize what she looked like. But she was cute. When I see pix of her, I'm surprised because in person she was way cuter. Ryland is, too, for some reason. Better looking, I mean. lol

People have raised over $260,000 so far for Adam's charity: water project 8O. Rather impressive if you ask me!
As for season 10, sob stories are just getting way out of hand. Their life story has nothing to do with their singing, it gives people sympathy votes, that is not what the show is about :banghead:

First, where are you finding the smilies, CapsuleNeo? - I want them! Ever since the format changed, I haven't been able to find them.
Second, I agree with you about the sob stories. But the winner has only rarely been one of those sob story people (I think. Correct me if I'm wrong), so maybe people really tend to reject it, overall. It's a big part of the show, though. And it may be my least favorite part. I agree it should be about the singing.
And yes, it's great people have raised so much for Adam's charity. As he's an Aquarius (the water bearer) this seems an appropriate charity for his birthday, too.

That really is an amazing amount of money to be raised in such a short time. LOL - priorities.
Sob stories annoy me too. Although watching the show you can't help but be caught up in them, I'd rather they show all the people's auditions that made it through to Hollywood.

It probably will be interesting but I have this thing about Oprah. Can't stand her. I don't really have any reason, just never liked her. (Kind of how I feel about Barbara Walters, only more so.) I also really kind of detest Randy. The other two, I don't know yet.
I keep wondering where the fourth judge is. Maybe they could have used one this season.
That shot of Kris was interesting. The network focus was much more on him, so it was nice to see the dancers more - and the pyrotechnics afterwards.

The more he talks the less I want to watch this show. Putting Simon down is so petty - I don't like Simon, but the way the show puts their own down seems so classless. Plus they must think we're all stupid, based on a lot of what they say.
