That was nice - thanks, I enjoyed it! The Allen house is not too shabby, either. (Wow.) I never really listened to Daniel before. He sounds decent, but ordinary - unlike the big brother. Anyhow - good find!

The Unleashed guy is still going on about the interview. Seems he thinks it's helped him make a name for himself. ("I am just a talk show host that no one knows of lol THEY DO NOW! ha!") ("it only takes ONE person to make me famous! Thanks!") I doubt it.

Anyhow, maybe this alerted Kris to the pitfalls of dealing with amateurs. I'm not sure why he was even on with these yokels, but maybe his camp needs to rethink their strategy - if they have one. Maybe some rethinking of who's handling things for him, as well.

Military Videos - Kris Allen Interview with AFN Europe.net

Pit stop for Jacob.

My observation: You really have to be hardy to tour in Canada in winter.

Can't see the pit stop picture, is it from his twitter? I think they're premiering The video for the Sweater Song tonight on Much Music during Gossip Girl.

I really wish AWM's video was official for MTV/VH1 you can't help but love it. It makes me angrier at TT's video to tell the truth (about the Truth..ha) and I really love that song too.

What do you guys think about Simon's I'll give you 5 million if you win the X Factor thing? It makes me think that Simon really noticed that we didn't miss him that much. Smoke and mirrors.

It's a great video - I love it too. Even if it was official, they probably wouldn't play it unless Jive was planning to get behind the single with promo. I don't know how it works, really.

It makes me want to audition.

Sounds about right.

Kris is tweeting about writing. Maybe I'm alone but I think the whole "writing session" thing is weird. You schedule two or three hours with some person (a stranger, sometimes) and write a song. It's odd to schedule creativity in timed units. Not the way I picture songwriting happening.

Ha! You won't be the only one in line. :) They're not going to hand out 5 million without a itty, bitty, wee bit of control me thinks. It's gonna make Clive and pals AI season one look like pushovers.

Listening to Kris's interview. I wish Kris would describe what he's doing with Music Empowers more (I'm sure Music Empowers would, too. lol).

What version of Heartless is this? Is this the one that was on Mix for weeks? It sounds slower. (Why are they playing this?) Yeah, it's the AI itunes version.

Hee yes AI studio version. I haven't listened to that in ages, there's so many other versions to choose from. But you're right the vocal is really good.

I think for Kris to really open up he's got to be there in studio in person. Otherwise he kinda dodges questions, lol. I really liked the interview, and the show actually, I'll tune back into that even without Kris.

The Hedley thing turned out to be a commercial for Much Music using the Sweater Song - sort of a mini video though kinda neat.

It was a good interview - but I miss Kris's wit. Maybe this wasn't that type of interview. But am I crazy, or was there a point a while back when he stopped being as witty in interviews? I noticed it at the time and wondered what happened - like someone instructed him against it. I have a few theories about things like this but they'd probably seem paranoid.

Dodging questions: I agree. He didn't seem to want to answer the question about who would be his dream collaborator - even though he's answered this question so many times! He was hemming and hawing and not answering. "There are a lot of good people...and I want to work with a lot of them...there are so many...I mean, who wouldn't want to work with good people..?." I literally said, "LIKE WHO??"

Kris stalkers are probably already aware he went running at Runyon Canyon Park today. :)

There is a rumor surfacing that David Archie's contract with Jive is up and that's why they are not promoting his singles and album anymore :confused2:.

The record business is weird right now. I hope his contract isn't up with Jive.

yes, we Kris stalkers know these things, kind of against our will sometimes. But we know :)

I think Kris just doesn't feel completely comfortable talking on the phone, he just does better in face to face interviews. Not that he's bad on the phone, he's just noticeably less comfortable. His face to face chats just have that extra certain something.- like that balancing act interview. He can get a read on the interviewer.

jive is already kind of on my **** list, David might be better off without them. It will be interesting this year, I guess I was forgetting that x factor will be on Sony so their winner will be getting the lion's share of attention from Sony.

The idle review podcast had a really good interview with Alex Wgner-Trugman who talked about the whole audition process. he also mentioned that every time Kris is in Miami, Kris takes him out to dinner and that Kris is really nice and without ego.

That's a good point. I never noticed that.

Do you have a link to that? I'm not really familiar with that podcast.

But watching it again is so fun. :) Oh, they probably have talked about the auditions before it's just interesting coming from Alex for me. since in general he's pretty honest and not that overly in awe of Idol.
