Canadian Idol Fans Watching American Idol

Amber Pacific (Jesse Cottam's band) will be releasing a new album on Tuesday, and it will be available at Target, so I understand.
Debra Yeo posted a link to great photos from the Hedley concert at the Air Canada Centre. you can click on her link in the quote I posted below:
"Remember Canadian Idol finalist Jacob Hoggard? These days he's lead singer of the band Hedley, which played the ACC on Monday night. My colleague Steve Russell was there taking photos for the Star and has posted a bunch on his photo blog. You can check them out here."
Maybe it's just how she puts things. Remember Jacob Hoggard?? His band has had, what? Three platinium or 2X platinum albums, 7 or 8 Top 10 or Top 20 hits. 10 #1 videos on Much Music. Several Juno nominations, 4 or 5 MMVA's, etc.
I think a few people might have heard of him since Canadian Idol, yeah.
For an entertainment blogger, she's a funny one. Maybe I just tend to misunderstand a lot of her comments? Because it sounds like she doesn't do her homework (but that's nothing new for her, is it?), or she doesn't get out a lot, or something.

Re: Andrew -- I think he's got a beautiful voice but he just doesn't seem to know what to do with it or something. When it works it works, but he tends to pick the wrong songs or arrangements. He's been disappointing for me, since at the beginning I thought he'd be one of the frontrunners. Maybe that's why I judge him so harshly. I don't know.
Debra Yeo has blinders on. I get the feeling that she doesn't really like what's she's doing. She never seems to have any new information that hasn't already hit every other blog. If she's living in Toronto I guarantee that she's heard Hedley on the radio.. once or twice an hour. Those pictures look great by the way. What a thrill for them to play the ACC and not only play it, but headline it. Really amazing. I'd like to see them venture to the states again. They'd get fans for sure, it would just take a lot of touring.
Justin and Brooke could be good together. I like Justin, he's a pretty nice guy in the house and 19 owes him something for living in that wacky house. Plus he has a nice voice. I wish they'd let the Idol people sing songs that weren't covers. Brooke has an album. Nothing on there that Justin couldn't rehearse with her?
I was listening to the CHUM countdown this morning.. Kris moved up to #21 and Adam dropped down to #5. I'm going to keep voting on that damn thing until they take him off. It's funny though when they introduced Kris they talked about him introducing a new song live - Send Me All Your Angels and mentioned that he co-wrote it with Chris Daughtry - who was # 20. It was a really nice mention.

Okay, just found Marc Malkin, he's a reporter for E! Online. He's not the one who tweeted about David though.
I like that song. I'm not sure I love it, but give me time. Kris sounds great in that clip. That's how all videos of him should sound. I admit I have a reaction to Kris's voice, which is like: I get almost a tear in the corner of my right eye. I'm moved by his voice.
Justin Beiber...I always thought he was likeable, but I pay no attention to him. But I'm not annoyed by him. Like I am by Miley's singing, for ex. What I like about Justin is he doesn't pretend to be anything other than what he is.

I don't know anything. Just that someone from seasons 1-7 is supposed to be on this week. Then Brooke was at the IICD house singing an Elvis song with Justin, so people with nothing better to do put together that they'd be performing this week. Because Justin supposedly tweeted that sometime soon he's be performing for millions. Actually I don't know if they're going to be on AI at all, either together or separately.

I hope The Truth is not the next single (but then, anything that will sell well, I'm all right with, even that). I just think it says something when the one video I failed to listen to from that set was TT. The song bores me. I think it's a hard song for him to put any energy into.

SNL was pretty good last night and Justin Bieber was not so bad! The sketch they talk about in that PopEater article was funny!
I watched the video for The Truth, but it did kind of bored me. And I always think Kris sounds strained when he sings that song. So, yeah, I don't think it does him any favors actually.
