They don't exactly surrender their seat. The MP in a safe riding retires, forcing a byelection, which can be 6 months down the road. The way things are, there are not many safe liberal seats, and those that are may not want to take one for team Carnaval.
That is what I was thinking . Someone suggested a seat could surrender the seat and install Carney .

If he doesn’t do either of the above, then he’s gonna be in parliament, as the liberal leader, & the Prime Minister, in somebody else’s chair that’s still gonna be warm…answering for every scandal and ethics violation for the Liberal party from the last decade, & his own involvement there of as an “outsider.”

I asked the same question a while back…
(YouTube & “Could Mark Carney become PM and lead the government until September 2026? Yes.... Here's why.”)

In OntariOWE. Not Canada.
2 things. Looks at the maritimes in Ron's weekly posts. Notice it is turning red again? Secondly, and more importantly, I look at Ontario because like it or not this province will decide if the Conservatives get a majority. Any scenario for a Conservative majority requires a good chunk of Ontario seats. A swing to the Liberals would block that. A big swing would give the Liberals another minority.

Meh, just "mystreetism," as in "I and my street are the REAL country, and all them subhumans elsewhere aren't REAL citizens of a REAL country, and don't have rights or interests that we should care about."

Ontario is about 40% of the population of Canada (much of that in the dick that sticks into the top of the US), & Quebec is about 25% of the population of Canada. Together they are 2/3rds…

OTTAWA — While Canadians may be looking at job losses and a recession in the next few weeks due to U.S. President Donald Trump’s decision to launch a trade war with a close ally and partner, they could also be called to the polls in that same period.

Several political operatives and MPs told the National Post they are not-so-quietly gearing up for an early election after the Liberals elect a new leader this Sunday.

We were looking at a recession anyways and election in April was inevitable with Jagmeet pensioning out.

That is another Liberal Minority.
Well, another Liberal/NDP non-coalition coalition that’s not a coalition-type coalition ‘cuz it worked so well the last time?
Let’s hope ON/QB/NS/PEI/NFD/NB with a side of lower mainland BC wake up and smell the last almost decade.

Carney is not going anywhere . Iggy got a push when first showing up on the scene after Dionne and his magic dog floundered the same will happen to the foreign banker once he is forced to ingage with the populous . Don’t let the push polls fool ya .
