Point for Cliffy... I'm not proud of that either.

We also are guilty of profiting from the Iraq war crime too. We arm lots of mass murderers and human rights abusers around the world besides American ones. No I'm not proud of this either.

It makes sense to stay out of a war but to supply the implements of mass destruction. Much more money in it. We could say that Afghanistan is the price we have to pay to stay in the arms game.

I am curious why there is not more talk on the future of Canada rather than the sins ofthe past. $150 oil is around the corner and we are woefully unprepared.

The NDP has consistently pushed for getting Canada off its oil dependence and onto green technologies for decades. $150 a barrel oil would generate a lot of revenue for Canada and encourage people to reduce their oil consumption.

Ontario residents are about to get an awakening about how much this green energy costs via their electricity bill in October - Look for a minimum of a 40% increase in your rates. Since April of 2009 the cost of electricty generation versus what ratepayers pay is around 3 cents a KW higher. Ontario legislation requires that consumers pay the actual cost of generation. If you are on an energy marketing plan the difference shows up on your bill as a provincial benefit. Consumers that buy direct from their utility do not pay the difference but rates are rest every 6 months. Hence the increase is coming.

Reducing reliance on coal - paying a 10 to 30 times premium for wind and solar and pushing this electricty in to a grid that was not designed for multiple points of generation will likely be very expensive both in fees and cost of electricty and brown-outs due to an imbalanced load.

There is a good book by Jeff Rubin - former CIBC economist called Why your world is about to get whole lot smaller. We got a taste of what happens when oil is $150bbl. The costs of shipping in to a global economy is a killer to our wallets. Manufacturing jobs will be coming back from offshore - Local produce will become cheaper than that with a 5,000 km trip to the grocer shelf.
Trade protectionism will become a side issue - If it's bigger than a breadbox it will likely be made a lot closer to your home as the cost of labour vs. distance/cost to market shelf will skew geographic decisions towards local markets.

lmao You guys are funny. We get Mr. Blue in and people snivel. We get Mr. Red in and people snivel. In between Mr. Blue and Mr. Red there is constant bickering. MIT is right, while everyone bickers about this, that, and so-and-so, life passes by.
Step out of the rut and take a look around .... there's a whole world around us. Why limit ourselves to two useless and hopeless duds?

The Rhinos are great.

It promises, like its predecessor, not to keep any of its promises if elected. Among its early platform planks was to "take away soldiers' weapons, replace them with paintball guns, and repaint Havana." The party has also proposed a mandatory national gas barbecue registry, a guaranteed weekly orgasm, the renaming of Canada to Nantucket[1] and the creation of an army of clowns to travel the world promoting peace and laughter.
