You sure you couldn't find any bad points? :) :)

Like Nic, I could go on. The man trashed our environmental protection laws to give the rapers and pillagers free reign, he gagged our scientists that worked for us, burned or destroyed vast libraries of scientific information that belonged to us, denied climate change and gagged anybody who knows about the consequences, etc., etc. The man is dismantling our country and our democracy, has contempt for our laws and our courts... what is not to dislike about this clown?

I like Bill C-51, it doesn't affect or law abiding people I know, but if it keeps some of the reprobates looking over their shoulder maybe it's a good thing. :)

Until he comes for you. You are calling people who want to protect their rights, their environment and their country reprobates because C-51 makes terrorists of them all. And people like me, who speak out against his draconian laws and practices will, in all likelihood, be dragged off to one of his new gulags. So, ya, phuk this jerk and his gang of thugs.

More unfounded conservative fear mongering.

No matter what the election result, any government may choose to “meet the House,” to test whether it can still command a majority of members’ support in a confidence vote. If it lost that confidence vote, the Governor General would be free to call on some other combination of MPs to form a government that could enjoy the confidence of the House.

So you support torture and a system that lacks due process of law and tramples constitutional & human rights.

Who did Harper torture? When he does then I would approve of action taken against him! You have to be sensible and weigh the odds. With 25,000 aliens due to arrive on our doorstep I'd bet there's a better chance of harm from one of them than there is from Harper.

Conbot finance minister loves the gravy train.

Joe Oliver Charged Taxpayers For Flight Upgrades, Exclusive Hotel Rooms: Receipts

OTTAWA — Federal Finance Minister Joe Oliver charged taxpayers hundreds of dollars to upgrade his seat on flights and spent more than $5,000 twice on in-country flights during his time as a cabinet minister.

In July 2012, Oliver spent $5,593 on two one-way flights between Toronto and Calgary so he could hold roundtable meetings with oil, gas, steel and pipeline companies.

The flights were the biggest cost for the trip, which came to $7,483. A few months earlier, in April 2012, a trip to Calgary came with an airfare bill of $6,710.55.

Harper isn't man enough to torture anyone nor is he going to man-up and come right out to support torture publicly or allow it on Canadian soil. As is his normal way he has tried to hide it and not take responsibility for it even though it is his govt and his people writing the legislation

Bill C-51 allows for our military or CSIS or other govt body to transfer custody of any suspect to a foreign country for examination or interrogation. In other words we will send them to be tortured somewhere other than Canadian soil. The worst part of this is it does not require a court order or any hearing or any production of evidence in any forum at all. The bill does not require any oversight from govt or independent body nor does it require notification of the family nor is there any requirement for a lawyer. What we basically have is the same system as the SS had in Germany prior to and during WWII. You may be agreeable to have such unfettered power given to bureaucrats, army officers and secret police but I am absolutely not comfortable with it.

No I cannot give you an example of an instance because the whole thing is designed to be secretive and hidden from Canadians (including our MPs) and I really do not care whether it has happened or not the point is there is now a legal authority endowed upon a few people to do this without them having to answer to anyone as to why or how their decision was made and that my friend is scarier than looking down the barrel of a loaded gun.

I just figured it's #712 on the list I have of things to worry about.:) :)

P.S. I don't consider Harper to be a Saint by any stretch of the imagination, to me it's just a matter of trust being light years ahead of the other two goofs we have to choose from. He's unlikely to go off half cocked from excitability.

That can be said about every situation in the world. Statistically speaking I have a better chance of being shot by my bank manager!

Maybe but at least your bank manager will be held accountable whereas rendition under C-51 holds no oversight or accountability.

Tell me you would be just as apathetic if one of your kids or grandkids was shipped of to Iraq to be tortured and questioned without due process and without anyone having any legal obligation to explain or provide proof not just to you but to a judge.

Top Trudeau adviser directed TransCanada on lobbying next government
The Liberals say Justin Trudeau's national campaign co-chair did not break any ethical standards when he sent a detailed email Monday to people behind the Energy East pipeline with advice on how and when to lobby a new government - including if it happened to be a Liberal minority.
In the email, Dan Gagnier tells five people at TransCanada Corp. to target the right people in a new government as quickly as possible so they can help shape either Liberal or NDP decisions on a national energy strategy.
The completely ethical Gagnier has "decided to take a step back from my responsibilities" to the Libranos campaign.

From a Liberal flyer targeting new Canadians:
Changes made by the Harper Conservatives will create two classes of citizenship and give a politician the right to revoke your citizenship without a trial.
Two reprehensible lies in one sentence for the bespoke purpose of frightening law-abiding immigrants.
Only Justin Trudeau and the Liberal Party will protect you, your family and all Canadians...
Unscrupulous, and disgusting.
