You do understand what Canon law is right?

Are you aware of the influence Islamic jurisprudence had on European civil law?

As has just been pointed out, a republic evolves from and is influenced by, religious law.

As I have stated too many times to remember, I do not support installing western style democracy around the globe.

It behooves any nation to develop a system of government, based on the principles of the people, to serve the better good of their nation as a whole.

In many cases I would say yes in some way - But the basis of Judeo Christian beliefs are still there in many laws today along with an assortment of rights. - Western Democracies - freedoms of religion for one - free speech for another -

Maybe if you weren't so high, or so stupid, you would have been able to understand that I didn't, and still don't support the action taken in Libya.
