The people of the world are the human rights arbiters. I believe that people want to be free to live there lives as they see fit. That is why most, if given a choice, would prefer the US, Canada, Switzerland or Australia over Libya, China, Iran or Egypt. If I'm wrong (and I'm always willing to accept that possibility) then there must be a reason why Canadians, Americans and Australians are not clamoring to move to North Korea...after all, it's probably a lot cheaper to live there.

Where could you have gotten that information except from the talking heads of the western coalition of death. You're a parrot for them. If you looked into the history of North Korea you would perhaps understand why they are as they are. The statement Canada voted against was hardly even-handed. It condemned Israel but said nothing of Hamas and the rocket attacks they launched which started this whole thing. Canada did the right thing.

Also, the current UN Human Rights Council is a sham, you currently can't bring a complaint that would make Islam look bad or that would call into question the practices of Sharia law.
