C10 say the wrong thing on Facebook or Twitter and your now going to be financially ruined.

If you "Vilify or Detest" someone on the basis of a protected characteristic, and they can find out who you are (Or force Twitter/Your ISP/Your VPN to reveal who you are - see Bill C-10) than yes.

The exact fine is determined by the HRT, and this article doesn't mention it but you can also get Peace-Bonded for up to 4 years in jail.

Well, at least being an ALT-left piece of shit isn't a protected characteristic....yet.

This bill is completely outrageous, considering the history of Section 13. And the Liberals want to make the reintroduction of that rejected piece of oppression much worse.
But even more concerning is the timing. Think about it. We know the Liberals want to go to an election, killing this bill. So why did they introduce it now?
Do they think it will encourage people to vote for them?
I believe they do. That is concerning on two levels; first, that the Liberals are so arrogant and out of touch that they believe Canadians are eager to slap the manacles of speech suppression on themselves, and secondly.........that the Liberals might be correct in that belief.
