The 1,100 spots for privately sponsored refugees will be above and beyond the current annual limit set for that program, the department said.

I don't understand why our government feels it necessary to bring these people to Canada.
Most of them don't want to come here anyways and besides this is a drop in the bucket in trying to help these people.

We would be much better off helping them stay in their own environment for now until their country is stabilized !!

In Syria there is a civil war going on. Not everyone is involved in the events right?
In a civil war, there is two sides those supporting a murdering dictator who is in
power. On the other side two groups both terrorist groups fighting the murdering
dictator. What a choice. Now our Canadian Government wants to bring these
folks here and spread them amongst us and we are not concerned. Good God we
went out and made our name fighting terrorism on the front lines in the Middle East.
This Government who has saddled up to ride with Uncle Sam now turns around and
allows potential enemies to live amongst us. Oh they will be screened right? No
worries, none of those folks like the young man in the prison in Cuba.
What the hell are we thinking? The answer is we are not thinking. Perhaps we should
find a square and demonstrate until all politicians of every stripe go away, and we
should employ a zoo keeper to run the family business known as Canada.

I take it some of you do not remember that not long ago Muslims in this country wanted Sharia law. You understand that Sharia law is for the most part against Canadian laws? We do not cut off peoples body parts for theft, we do not kill women for honor, we do not lock up and stone women who are raped, etc.
