We, being a wealthy Nation, are in a position to help those who cannot either defend themselves, nor afford to defend themselves. You have forgotten Ressam and his crew, who were planning a terrorist attack in Jewish Montreal? In 1999, BTW, before 911 or Afghanistan. The terrorists were trained there, however.
Afghanistan IS our problem. If the Taliban return, and are allowed to set up more training camps, who do you think will be number 2 or 3 on their list of targets? Even if we DID leave now?
You guys will conveniently forget the threat to Canada predates our involvement in Afghanistan, you will ignore the Canadians killed on 911, and when we get hit, you will blame it on our alliance with the USA.

Hey Colpy I think you need to reconsider that last recommendation of your's. While advocating for your position you should avoid making death threats. In any case your dumb suggestion is already being applied in Afghanistan and Iraq and the age or sex of the suspected Islamist dosen't matter to your heroic American idols.

Please differentiate between Islamist and Muslim.
I don't think we should be killing all Muslims.
I do think we should be killing Islamists......which are those Muslims that have adopted the violent philosophy of jihad against non-Muslims.

They'll gladly give you a list of all the nations the US was dicking around with during the Cold War (which was only cold to the people not paying attention) but the fact that you can't get all the info for a list of all the countries the USSR was dicking around with (many of them the same) goes right over their head. There's a reason one is open information and the other is under the rug, but since they don't see it on a list of talking points on every website out there then I guess it never happened.

You think we are a wealthy nation, Mogz. I beg to differ. Canada has a 15% poverty rate. That means 5 million Canadians live in poverty. Health care is a mess. Our transportation system sucks. Our military is a joke. We have a crapy child care system. Crime rates are high.
