First off who let all that oil contaminate the sand in the west? We better clean it up.

I hope Canada does something quick before the next election...

...or Canada will have a harder time supporting the Ontario and Quebec budget with all this dirty oil.

Question? If there is so much damn oil out there why not build a refinery on site and avoid the controversies and the risks of of a pipeline?

Its 4,600-kilometer (2,858-mile) path, taking advantage of a vast length of existing and underused natural gas pipeline..
Except for the fact that shipping dilbit through antiquated natgas pipelines is a really bad, monumentally stupid idea.

There are. But they can only refine so much oil at a time. It would also be a way of spreading the industry's jobs throughout the country instead of everyone having to head to Alberta if they want to work in the oil industry. Well, I guess they could go work in Southern Ontario but that region produces the same amount of oil in a year that Alberta cranks out in a few hours.

It's not dilbit nor will the products be over 2000psi like NG. So much for fact.

There are refineries from coast to coast unless we've changed the name of the country to Alberta.
