Kinda funny wot? Can't tell what it is, but you go ahead and shoot at it. Doesn't that sort of go against all ideas on weapons safety?

Kinda puts a light on "friendly fire" incidents.

Yep, it's like hunting season in Northern Ontario. If it's brown, shoot it!

Hey, I have a few auto (land only) parts on my garage floor I need to get rid of. Is a trade possible?

Can't do it man, I already had several of those K things. There is some nice shinny pieces though. I can't remember the name of the things. Usually after reassembly of a pile like that I would have five or six pounds of stuff left over.

Frig, I forgot about the Russians.

What a great machine!

My folks drove across Canada last year and saw a dirigible flying through the air that someone had made in their garage and took out for a spin. It was daylight and one of the locals told them what it was, but if it had been nighttime and they hadn't spoken to anyone they might have come home with a UFO story.

Three friends and I saw a UFO on PEI back in '69. We were on a beach at night. There was this bright red light in the sky that would zip at incredible speed from one spot to another, zigzagging all over the place. It would hover in one spot for a few seconds and then zip off to another. Then it just zoomed off into space and disappeared.

We were all tripping on vitamin L at the time, so that might have been a contributing factor.

I know someone very well who swears a UFO hovered over his cabin. He has a long elaborate story about it and he is someone I know doesn't BS.

All I know is that it is more probable that he is mistaken than aliens really were interested in his cabin. Maybe it was a helicopter? I don't know. He is a good sensible sane man which just demonstrates to me that anyone can be duped and that the effect can be very convincing.

Love a ride in a dirigible. Hot air balloons is the closest I've been.

I've seen UFO's too. Literally.... things in the sky I couldn't identify. That's the definition of UFO. UFO doesn't mean alien aircraft. It's a highly overused 'word'.

Hey, they're not going to let you speak at the Disclosure Project.
PS
I suppose you're going to tell me Sir George Cayley (1773 - 1857), the father of aerodynamics, didn't invent the aeroplane!

British military has fired at alien craft, says former MoD official

A former member of the Ministry of Defence has revealed that the British military has fired at alien craft.

The RAF has fired at unidentified objects since the 1980s.

If these objects are extraterrestrial craft then missiles had little effect on them - which is scary.

RAF 'ordered to shoot down UFOs'

The RAF has tried to shoot down suspected UFOs as part of a Government directive, it has been claimed.

A former member of staff at the Ministry of Defence says alien craft have been fired at by the British military.

Pilots have apparently fired upon the unidentified objects without success since the 1980s, according to Nick Pope, who used to run the Ministry of Defence's UFO project.

"There was a faction in the MoD who said 'We want to shoot down a UFO and that will resolve the issue one way or another'," he told The Sun.

"We know of cases where the order has been given to shoot down - with little effect to the UFO."

Mr Pope claimed that the RAF only attempted to engage when the mysterious objects were perceived to be a threat.

He said: "In the case of UFOs, whether the object is causing a threat is very much a pilot's judgement call. The public won't know unless it comes down in a heavily populated area."

The MoD refused to comment.

Earlier this month, residents in the Lincolnshire Wolds were left puzzled by the destruction of a wind turbine within hours of several sightings of strange glowing orbs.

At least half a dozen residents reported seeing the orange-yellow spheres, which some witnesses claimed were trailing tentacles.

Dorothy Willows, who lives a mile and a half from the wind farm, said she saw a "low-flying object skimming across the sky towards the turbines" on January 4.

The following morning, a 213ft glass fibre turbine was left crippled, with locals reporting hearing a loud bang like thunder.

One of the £1 million turbine's 65ft blades was ripped off and another severely damaged.
