Britain is the worst place to live in Europe

I used to live in England as a child and I have fond memories of it. But like many ex-pats, I find it depressing to go back now. It seems like a different country now, especially the north, where I'm from.

That said, this study was conducted by a "price comparison website." I suspect ulterior motives.

I was going to add a picture of a typical Briddish breakfast to show how poorly they lived but the images were nauseating-ditto the archetypical horrible teeth shots-just awful.

British breakfasts. Best in the world......

A Full English.

Stick your pancakes and maple syrup where the Sun doesn't shine.

Oh, I don't know about that. Grate Brittain is the center of the universe so it's not surprising that people care about where It ranks.

It's also the centre of the world, of course. It sits on the Greenwich Meridian.

So too do the North and South geographic poles. That's a pretty awful definition for center.

When was the last time you looked on a world map? Britain is in the centre but also slightly towards the top, unlike Canada which not many people notice tucked away up in the top left hand corner.

Actually all things aside Britain is the center of the universe. If you look at your watch
its the first give away. Sir Sanford Flemming a Canadian needed to standardized time
to operate the CPR in an efficient manner. He developed the concept of Standard time
and made ground zero for it Greenwich England therefore like it or not in terms of time
the center of the universe is Britain.

It was the British astronomer and mathematician Sir George Airy (27 July 1801 – 2 January 1892) who established Greenwich (a London borough) as the location of the prime meridian in 1851. By 1884, over two-thirds of all ships and tonnage used it as the reference meridian on their charts and maps (although back in those days the vast majority of the world's shipping tonnage was British).

The prime meridian passes through the Airy transit circle (51° 28′ 40.12″ N, 0° 0′ 5.31″ W) of the Greenwich observatory. It was long marked by a brass strip in the courtyard, now upgraded to stainless steel, and, since 16 December 1999, has been marked by a powerful green laser shining north across the London night sky from the observatory.

The Greenwich Meridian passes through UK, France, Spain, Algeria, Mali, Burkina Faso, Togo, Ghana and Norway's Queen Maud Land in Antarctica.

that's just your dumba ss opinion

No, it's a fact, not an opinion. There's a difference.

An opinion is a view or judgement formed about something that is not necessarily based on fact or knowledge. It is a judgment, viewpoint or statement about matters commonly considered to be subjective.

Afact is something that has really occurred or is actually the case.

What I said falls into the latter category.

The 'Empire' has fallen... Even those nations that held some affinity to remaining have all but left

All that remains are a handful of fleeting golden memories of yesteryear. Other than that, the World has passed you by, relegating you to the scrap-heap of history

How can "greatest" possibly be anything other than an opinion?

No, it hasn't. Just has a new top dog.

Britain is the greatest nation on Earth. It's the world's greatest civilisation. Full stop.

How can "greatest" possibly be anything other than an opinion?

It's a fact. If something is the greatest there is undeniable, stonewall evidence for that.

No, it hasn't. Just has a new top dog.

And you wouldn't be top dog were it not for the fact that Britain created America and imprinted Britishness and British values all over it. It was the influence of the world's greatest civilisation which made you top dog. You wouldn't have been top dog had your country been enthused with French or Italian or Nepalese influence.

And your run as "top dog" is coming to an end. You would have held that title for nowhere as long as Great Britain did. It's been a short reign.
