Geez, how about people don't succumb to some weird societal/peer pressure, marry only if and when they are ready and want to, and then push nobody off a cliff. Is that really too much to ask?

Just to be on the safe side though, maybe we should fill in all the canyons and really deep holes.

The deepest holes you are going to find are the ones in people's heads. -:)

That makes a change. It's usually the woman who the courts give everything to during a divorce, no matter what.

We didn't go to court, we just split it 50/50.....She got the assets & I got the debt. 8O

It's like the old joke: "Why get married? Why not just find a woman you hate, and give her your house?"

You know why divorce is so expensive?

Because it's worth every penny to get rid of her!!! ;-)

I'm thinking her trial will be a real cliffhanger. 8O

hey he should have built up another nice stash by now no?
Yes, I have. Plus she couldn't get the property I owned before the marriage.
Not if his ex has a lawyer.
No, she doesn't. We agreed on the split without spending thousands on liars, er, I mean lawyers.
Wanna get married for a bit?
Sorry Sal, somebody beat you too it. ;-)

lol....late again... (that used to be scary)

I have heard of people arguing right down to tins of soup in the cupboards...sometimes lawyers fire clients, I didn't know that, but they do.

How much is " a bit"?
until I get all the assets and he takes all the debt...I don't really have debt so it would have to be long enough for me to spend up a storm... :D

My wife's first husband launched a separate court proceeding in order to recover a toaster oven. Ironically the extra delay in processing that claim has allowed her to qualify for his pension (when the time comes) as it made the marriage last 12 years (the last 4 of which were in divorce court).
