We wouldn't need a new framework if people showed up for jury selection and duty, as is their legal obligation. In this instance, around 750 jury summons were sent out. Only 250 people responded. If the issue was "the jury didn't have any peers for the victim", then maybe those other 500 people should have showed the f*ck up instead of shirking their responsibility.
I'd be curious to know how many of those 500 are FN and if any of them who didn't show up for jury selection are as "outraged" by the verdict as you and the shiny pony are.
