This is it folks.

Trudeau planning social welfare system overhaul

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is weighing sweeping changes to Canada’s social welfare system and a series of economic measures that will align the country with ambitious climate goals.

The economic recovery plan to bolster the social safety net will especially help those hurt most by the pandemic and come after Trudeau replaced a fiscally cautious finance minister.

Trudeau said the pandemic had unmasked “fundamental gaps” in society and the country needed a long-term recovery plan that addressed the issues “head on.”

“This is our chance to build a more resilient Canada, a Canada that is healthier and safer, greener and more competitive, a Canada that is more welcoming and more fair,” he said on Tuesday, after the cabinet shuffle.
Groper talking about fairness is like a trust fund brat talking about fairness...oh wait.

Peter Mackay is the man for the job. He is from the maritimes, his party will have support from the west, and Ontario's popular vote is almost stronger than the Liberal vote.
For once in the history of Canada, we will have a Prime Minister and a government that relies on unity instead of divisionism.

Mackay won't have a following like Trudeau but I certainly would consider voting for him if he's progressive enough.

He could be like the Teddy Roosevelt of Canada.

Why is it that so often the person becomes bigger than the position? All humans are equally good and bad. To focus on the leader is to lose focus on the organization. People love status quo when it benefits themselves. An economy based on tax revenue is not sustainable. People say don't worry about the debt but the interest alone is killing us. I don't see it changing and don't understand why not.

Too many freeloaders that don't care about the future of the country or their grandkids. All they care about is to get something for nothing right now.

Trudeau said he would seek a confidence vote in parliament over his plan when the body reconvenes in September which, if lost, would trigger a new election.

There is a roll that's going to come out box cars.

Simmer down, Foghorn Leghorn.
What's the matter little guy? Don't like your hero being called on his lies?

The thread title should read, "Groper, reeking of desperation after so many scandals, has decided to try and buy as many low-income votes as he can with taxpayer money".

Well, you certainly didn't expect him to use his own money, did you?

He couldn't even if he wanted to. You see, even at a young age Pierre knew that Groper was terrible with money. That's why Groper's inheritance was put into a trust fund.

It's also kind of ironic that the Trudeau family fortune was derived from fossil fuels (and mining).

And the Kennedy family fortune was derived from bootlegging. So what?
