Ted Cruz humiliated for Trump-like Twitter rant defending net neutrality repeal
One of the biggest stories of the week came on Thursday when a partisan vote repealed the #Net Neutrality rules that were put in place during the Obama administration. After the news broke, conservatives were pleased [VIDEO], including Texas Sen. #Ted Cruz who expressed his joy during a controversial post on #Twitter.

In an attempt to keep the internet free and open, former President Barack Obama put forward net neutrality in 2015 which prevented cable and internet providers from limiting access to certain websites and apps, while also stopping them from slowing down the speed that users need to a gain access to the sites in question.
Republicans argued that it limited business and providers from being able to tap into the internet and provide a wider range of coverage, though the consensus among most in the Untied States has been in support of the rules Obama put in place. Despite the backlash, a 3-2 decision was reached by the U.S. telecom regulators on Thursday and net neutrality was repealed. As expected, the news quickly went viral on social media, including an outburst of support from Ted Cruz who called out liberal "snowflakes" for being upset over the ruling [VIDEO] during a tweet similar in tone of the president on December 14.

Well in the minds of the snowflakes anyway. Which given their track record Cruz is most likely right on the money.

NEW YORK — Published reports say Federal Communications Commission Chairman Ajit Pai is skipping the Consumer Electronics Show because of death threats.
Pai has scrapped popular net-neutrality rules that had barred broadband providers, such as AT&T, Comcast and Verizon, from interfering with internet traffic. The policy’s supporters have reacted strongly. Pai and his staff have called out racist tweets and death threats against the chairman. The Dec. 14 vote was halted for unidentified security reasons, with a brief evacuation and search of the hearing room.
Pai was supposed to speak on a CES panel in Las Vegas next week. The Wall Street Journal, tech blog Recode and others reported the death threats, citing unidentified people.
The FCC confirmed his withdrawal, but spokesman Brian Hart says the agency doesn’t comment on security measures or concerns.
