How many geese you got to wring to make a container of goose grease? OR why are you trying to grease geese? This sounds highly suspect...

Crows, dolphins, higher apes show the ability to be self-aware.

Consciousness is the alpha and omega of existence.
Matter without consciousness is a dead matter.
Matter with consciousness is a living being.
Existence is consciousness + matter.
Therefor to understand existence we need to take consciousness
and matter as one chain of evolution in Nature.
Not only Darwin's evolution of matter,
but evolution of consciousness + matter together.

What must be presented in a body to make it alive ?
Consciousness.
This consciousness cannot be rigid.
Consciousness. ( like matter / together with matter)
must develop / evolve.
The development / evolution of consciousness is going
from simple to complex, from single cell to human being
and as ancient Veda says: “from vague wish up to a clear thought”.

Humans are going to have to come up with new criteria to maintain its belief its special. So far pas5 critera ( culture, use of tools, problem solving, sex for pleasures sake aand self awareness) have all been found in other animals.

Oh, yes.
We are very special living beings.
Why? . . . . Because:
" If you mean by conscious alert and able to react to their environment,
many animals are more able than humans to perform these functions.
If you mean by conscious, able to engage in abstract thought then
no imaging procedure can inform you whether not that that is happening."
/ Jim Potchen . University Distinguished Professor at MSU /
=.
So, what is result of this " abstract thought " ?
The pride of our abstract thinking brought us to many paradoxical theories.

With some species, some forms of evolutionary development lead to their demise: the extremely large antlers of the elk of England that was the cause of their extinction. Similarly, the only real difference between humans and other mammalian life forms is our ability to engage in abstract thought and this may be an evolutionary glitch that may lead to our demise. Our intellect has given us a false sense of superiority and separation from the web of life which allows us to think we have a right to exploit nature and its resources to the detriment of our life support systems and all other life forms. I think our claim to superior intelligence is highly over rated.

Many humans (even with PhD in the pocket) think that
their abstract thought is the real world.
