Of course. A big slice of pills are from natural sources too. Asparin, decongestants, blood thinners, antiseptics, and on and on and on.

An Rx in many cases is simply a controlled dose of a natural sourced remedy.

Controlled dose being the key.
Uh huh, and some natural remedies have years of proven trials behind them.

I'm not talking about curing cancer or anything, but I do believe minor ailments, conditions, what have you, can and should be treated with natural materials, not processed one.

It's just my opinion, and it's worked for as long as I can remember.

The problem isn't natural remedies or practitioners of natural remedies, it's about knowing where the benefit of of natural treatments end and where the problem of natural treatment begins.

agreed even chemical compounds can be "more" pure, things get 'altered' when processed.

I've found one sure cure for a lot of maladies that many people don't recognize or possibly don't want to recognize and it's not all that technical......................................"get your A$$ off the couch and move".

I think they're also very useful preventatively as well.

My grandfather was a huge proponent of herbal remedies, he had research books galore, would talk about them non-stop, drank this God-awful "I'd rather be dead than swallow that" tea...the works. He passed at 83, from bladder cancer, and did have a deteriorating condition resulting from a bad fall on a merchant marine ship during the war, but the man was strong, never had a damn cold that I can recall. Pretty damn healthy all things considered.

If grandma's chicken soup and an orange can cure it, see a naturopath. If it needs anymore, see a REAL doctor.

Throw the book at her, lock her up, and throw away the key.

That sounds sensible, Gerry. Maybe "M.D." would be a more acceptable term for "REAL doctor". I would also add that possibly a visit to a Naturopath might be better after a recommendation from one's M.D..

Agreed, but where will you draw the line? Say a parent only lets their child listen to gangsta rap and the kid becomes a misogynist, do we then charge the parents after the kid beats up his GF?

A racist black parent teaches their son to hate whites and he goes around doing the "knock-out game", do we charge the parents?

One of these days they're going to attempt to knock out the wrong person and end up knocked out (or worse) themselves. Surely, with the prevalence of things to do nowadays, they can find something better to do than this?

As for the OT? It is sad that the child had to die because he wasn't given the proper medical treatment.
