These allegations are an attempt to manipulate US election results with deliberate misinformation and blatant lies. Fundamentally what Beck and others are doing is not that different than our robocall scam.

I hope these allegations and the people making them are closely investigated. Glenn Beck and other right wing pundits have crossed a line on this one. I hope Beck and the other people involved in this misinformation and smear campaign face criminal charges for making deliberately false and misleading allegations in an attempt to manipulate the outcome of the US presidential election.

People died. Give your head a shake.

If this was the usual political mumbo jumbo, money grabbing, sex thing...sure, we shouldn't care very much.

Barry and his merry men dropped the ball and have not wanted to admit it. More shuck and jive. Even though people died, heroically I might add.

For those not keeping up:

Exclusive: Classified cable warned consulate couldn't withstand 'coordinated attack'

The U.S. Mission in Benghazi convened an “emergency meeting” less than a month before the assault that killed Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, because Al Qaeda had training camps in Benghazi and the consulate could not defend against a “coordinated attack,” according to a classified cable reviewed by Fox News.

Summarizing an Aug. 15 emergency meeting convened by the U.S. Mission in Benghazi, the Aug. 16 cable marked “SECRET” said that the State Department’s senior security officer, also known as the RSO, did not believe the consulate could be protected.

“RSO (Regional Security Officer) expressed concerns with the ability to defend Post in the event of a coordinated attack due to limited manpower, security measures, weapons capabilities, host nation support, and the overall size of the compound,” the cable said.

According to a review of the cable addressed to the Office of the Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, the Emergency Action Committee was also briefed "on the location of approximately ten Islamist militias and AQ training camps within Benghazi … these groups ran the spectrum from Islamist militias, such as the QRF Brigade and Ansar al-Sharia, to ‘Takfirist thugs.’” Each U.S. mission has a so-called Emergency Action Committee that is responsible for security measures and emergency planning.

The details in the cable seemed to foreshadow the deadly Sept. 11 attack on the U.S. compound, which was a coordinated, commando-style assault using direct and indirect fire. Al Qaeda in North Africa and Ansar al-Sharia, both mentioned in the cable, have since been implicated in the consulate attack.

In addition to describing the security situation in Benghazi as “trending negatively,” the cable said explicitly that the mission would ask for more help. “In light of the uncertain security environment, US Mission Benghazi will submit specific requests to US Embassy Tripoli for additional physical security upgrades and staffing needs by separate cover.”

The Benghazi Drip-Drip-Drip

As he left his Marine One helicopter Wednesday evening and walked to the residence of the White House, President Obama did not respond to a question shouted out by ABC News’s Mary Bruce about when he would begin to provide answers to the numerous questions building up about what exactly what went wrong in Benghazi, Libya, on September 11, 2012.

The president smiled and continued walking.

Perhaps he couldn’t hear the question over the din of the chopper’s blades, but either way the smile and wave – almost Reagan-esque in style – underline the apparent strategy the president specifically and his administration in general have seemed to adopt when it comes to the myriad inquiries about the decisions that led to the deaths of four Americans, including U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens: they are deferring detailed answers to the investigation and – critics say –running out the clock until Election Day.

- Locutus ... While the lunatic left wing fringe and much of the liberal media made more of Bush taking a final ten minutes to read to the second grade school kids rather than panicking them after the second plane hit the WTO on the original 9/11 than they are making of this Benghazi snafu, it is actually a serious matter involving three different examples of incompetence, arrogance and political cynicism.

- The matter includes malfeasances before the terrorist attack that destroyed the US consolate and took the lives of a great ambassador and three dedicated Americans in support of the mission, during the seven hour attack on the consolate, and after the murders and destruction at Benghazi.

- Specifically, why were repeated requests by the ambassador for more security (given two prior attacks on the consolate and several death threats and the unstable situation there which led to everyone pulling out of Benghazi except the Americans) refused and is it true that Obama himself refused this extra security so as to reinforce his BS claim that he as The Magic Negro had single handedly slain Al Qaeda?

- Why was no attempt made by drones in the area or aircraft based in Italy or marines in Tripoli or other resources to beat back the terrorists and thereby save American lives and secure the consolate during an attack that lasted for some seven hours and was known in real time in the White House and the state department and who refused to try to assist the beleagured consolate staff?

- Why did the White House and the ambassador to the UN and the state department deliberately lie to the American people for at least two weeks after the attack with the bogus and unbelievable claim that the Benghazi attack was the result of a spontaneous mob action in response to a movie trrailer critical of Islam and who was the primary instigator of this disgraceful cover up perpetrated to maintain Obama's bogus story that Al Qaeda and terrorism were, thanks to him, no longer a threat to the US instead of the reality that it was a renewed and resurgent threat because of his weakness and pandering to Islam?

- This makes Watergate look so trivial in contrast and the lack of curiosity by the lunatic left wing fringe and by the liberal media in the tank for Obama is simply disgraceful!

I recognize manipulative BS when I see it. Beck carefully chose his words to spin what he could probably claim is just speculation (in case he finds himself in a court of law) into sounding like facts supported by evidence in order to manipulate US voters.

For example, how likely it it that a US operative under attack would post a cry for help on a online gambling website? Yet Beck can claim he didn't know that the post was bogus and that he was deceived. What does that tell you about Beck's credibility if he makes such a reference to such an obviously bogus source? Examine what Beck says carefully and its obvious he is making stuff up, speculating, referencing unlikely sources...

A screw up occurred because an American Ambassador, three of his American staff and about a dozen Libyan security people died. But Beck's description of events is deliberately misleading and mostly boldfaced lies.

Here is the timeline of events:
Timeline of events, comments surrounding attack that killed 4 Americans in Benghazi, Libya - The Washington Post

A senior U.S. Intelligence official discounted a Fox news report from last Friday that said officials within the CIA chain of command denied repeated requests from its officers on the ground to assist during the attack on the U.S. mission in Benghazi.

The official insisted that the CIA operators on the ground were in charge of their movements and the safety of those who were preparing to respond was also an important consideration.

"There were no orders to anybody to stand down in providing support," the official said.

The official detailed the minute by minute account of what they say happened that night. There was a roughly 25 minute gap between when the officers at a nearby annex received the call for help from the mission to when the officers were able to get on their way to assist. During that time the officers at that annex location were getting their weapons loaded into vehicles, while others were on the phone trying to get local "friendly" militias with heavier weapons to help.

The FOX report also suggested that the officers on the ground asked for military back-up but the CIA denied those requests. The official again said this report was wrong. The military, the official said, provided drone surveillance and a tactical security team to assist.

What a real news source say about Faux News claims:

In Benghazi timeline, CIA errors but no evidence of conspiracy

By David Ignatius,
Thursday, November 1, 6:40 PM

A detailed CIA timeline of the assault on U.S. facilities in Benghazi paints an anguishing picture of embattled Americans waiting for Libyan security forces who didn’t come and courageous CIA officers who died on a rooftop without the heavy weapons they needed, trying to protect their colleagues below.

It’s a story of individual bravery, but also of a CIA misjudgment in relying on Libyan militias and a newly formed Libyan intelligence organization to keep Americans safe in Benghazi. While there were multiple errors that led to the final tragedy, there’s no evidence that the White House or CIA leadership deliberately delayed or impeded rescue efforts...

Sen. Roberts on Benghazi

Senator Pat Roberts on the Benghazi event during Greta last night. Probably the most fair, but damning discussion I've seen. Here's a former Marine asking the CINC to clear the air. He gets it. Politics matters, but this is more important. This is about the whether the trust between leadership and the pointy end of the spear is broken.

Previous to Roberts was Sen. McCain who reiterated the questions that Veterans, Nat.Guard, and Active members are asking. Anyone, anyone, who thinks these kind of questions from those willing to serve are a good thing needs their head examined.

Western society can not survive indifference from those who normally would be willing to kill and be killed; there are too many wolves.

- Nevada's largest daily newspaper, the Las Vegas Review-Journal, yesterday published the harshest, most damning editorial I have yet seen concerning Obama's suitability for the presidency, with significant reference to the Benghazi bungling and cover up.

- And contrary to commets from one of this board's lefty morons and apologists (I forget who because he doesn't matter), newspaper editorials are almost never just one man (the owner's) opinion but rather the considered consensus of an editorial board of informed, experienced journalists.

Benghazi blunder: Obama unworthy commander-in-chief

Posted: Nov. 1, 2012 | 2:01 a.m.

U.S. Ambassador to Libya Chris Stevens and three other Americans died in a well-planned military assault on their diplomatic mission in Benghazi seven weeks ago, the anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks. So why are details surfacing, piecemeal, only now?
The Obama administration sat by doing nothing for seven hours that night, ignoring calls to dispatch help from our bases in Italy, less than two hours away. It has spent the past seven weeks stretching the story out, engaging in misdirection and deception involving supposed indigenous outrage over an obscure anti-Muslim video, confident that with the aid of a docile press corps this infamous climax to four years of misguided foreign policy can be swept under the rug, at least until after Tuesday's election.
Charles Woods, father of former Navy SEAL and Henderson resident Tyrone Woods, 41, says his son died slumped over his machine gun after he and fellow ex-SEAL Glen Doherty - not the two locals who were the only bodyguards Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the Obama administration would authorize - held off the enemy for seven hours.
The Obama administration was warned. They received an embassy cable June 25 expressing concern over rising Islamic extremism in Benghazi, noting the black flag of al-Qaida "has been spotted several times flying over government buildings and training facilities." The Obama administration removed a well-armed, 16-member security detail from Libya in August, The Wall Street Journal reported last month, replacing it with a couple of locals. Mr. Stevens sent a cable Aug. 2 requesting 11 additional body guards, noting "Host nation security support is lacking and cannot be depended on," reports Peter Ferrara at Forbes.com. But these requests were denied, officials testified before the House Oversight Committee earlier this month.
Based on documents released by the committee, on the day of the attack the Pentagon dispatched a drone with a video camera so everyone in Washington could see what was happening in real time. The drone documented no crowds protesting any video. But around 4 p.m. Washington received an email from the Benghazi mission saying it was under a military-style attack. The White House, the Pentagon, the State Department and the CIA were able to watch the live video feed. An email sent later that day reported "Ansar al-Sharia claims responsibility for Benghazi attack."
Not only did the White House do nothing, there are now reports that a counterterrorism team ready to launch a rescue mission was ordered to stand down.
The official explanation for the inadequate security? This administration didn't want to "offend the sensibilities" of the new radical Islamic regime which American and British arms had so recently helped install in Libya.
The official explanation for why Obama administration officials watched the attack unfold for seven hours, refusing repeated requests to send the air support and relief forces that sat less than two hours away in Italy? Silence.
An open discussion of these issues, of course, would lead to difficult questions about the wisdom of underwriting and celebrating the so-called Arab Spring revolts in the first place. While the removal of tyrants can be laudable, the results show a disturbing pattern of merely installing new tyrannies - theocracies of medieval mullahs who immediately start savaging the rights of women (including the basic right to education) and who are openly hostile to American interests.
When Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney promptly criticized the security failures in Benghazi, the White House and its lapdog media jumped all over him for another "gaffe," for speaking out too promptly and too strongly. Prompt and strong action from the White House on Sept. 11 might have saved American lives, as well as America's reputation as a nation not to be messed with. Weakness and dithering and flying to Las Vegas the next day for celebrity fund-raising parties are somehow better?
This administration is an embarrassment on foreign policy and incompetent at best on the economy - though a more careful ****ysis shows what can only be a perverse and willful attempt to destroy our prosperity. Back in January 2008, Barack Obama told the editorial board of the San Francisco Chronicle that under his cap-and-trade plan, "If somebody wants to build a coal-fired power plant, they can. It's just that it will bankrupt them." He added, "Under my plan ... electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket." It was also in 2008 that Mr. Obama's future Energy Secretary, Steven Chu, famously said it would be necessary to "figure out how to boost the price of gasoline to the levels in Europe" - $9 a gallon.
Yet the president now claims he's in favor of oil development and pipelines, taking credit for increased oil production on private lands where he's powerless to block it, after he halted the Keystone XL Pipeline and oversaw a 50 percent reduction in oil leases on public lands.
These behaviors go far beyond "spin." They amount to a pack of lies. To return to office a narcissistic amateur who seeks to ride this nation's economy and international esteem to oblivion, like Slim Pickens riding the nuclear bomb to its target at the end of the movie "Dr. Strangelove," would be disastrous.
Candidate Obama said if he couldn't fix the economy in four years, his would be a one-term presidency.
Mitt Romney is moral, capable and responsible man. Just this once, it's time to hold Barack Obama to his word. Maybe we can all do something about that, come Tuesday.

Attempts to the portray the US military as unable to act to defend an US embassy under attack without Presidential approval are ridiculous. This non-story is as credible as reports regarding alien abductions.

Criticism of inadequate security are obviously justified. I blame inadequate funding (Republicans voted against increasing funding for embassy security) and poor decision making all the way up to Obama. If an embassy or consulate is not safe, then it should have been closed.

Oh really?
WASHINGTON — A CIA security team rushed to the U.S. consulate in Libya’s eastern city of Benghazi less than 25 minutes after receiving the first call that the mission was under attack, while a second squad was dispatched by air from the capital, Tripoli, according to a timeline released on Thursday by U.S. intelligence officials.

The timeline is the most detailed accounting to date of the U.S. response to the attack on the consulate and was released to rebut news reports that U.S. officials had delayed a rescue.

“The officials on the ground in Benghazi responded to the situation . . . as quickly and as effectively as possible,” said a senior intelligence official, speaking on condition of anonymity. “There were no orders to anybody to stand down in providing support.”
...
“At every level in the chain of command, from the senior officers in Libya to the most senior officials in Washington, everyone was fully engaged in trying to provide whatever help they could. There was no second guessing those decisions being made on the ground, by people at every U.S. organization that could play a role in assisting those in danger,” said the senior U.S. intelligence official.
Apparently not.

Yes Bush Jr's policy of starting unprovoked war crimes and killings hundreds of thousands of innocent people was far better than Obama's policy of ending wars started by Bush... (sarcasm alert).

Back on subject:
There were clothes strewn apart, and two of the stocky ones drew my legs apart. The next thing I knew I was being shown an enormous and extremely ugly object, grey and scaly, with a sort of network of wires on the end. It was at least a foot long, narrow, and triangular in structure. They inserted the thing into my rectum. It seemed to swarm into me as if it had a life of its own. Apparently, its purpose was to take samples, possibly of fecal matter, but at the same time I had the impression I was being raped and for the first time I felt anger.

We were talking about alien abductions weren't we? What was the subject again?

Five Flag level Military Commanders just got relieved. This was confirm by Sec Def Panetta. I guess silence is golden is the only motto this administration knows . AFRICOM, MEDFLEETCOM, Lincoln Carrier Strike Force Admiral, USAF Rota AGB and a USS nuke sub in the Mediterranean Sea. Now there is a rumor the Top Security Cypher Message Center Chief is going too. If you get rid of the witnesses you have no case. Right? I wonder what it is like to be a well trained military commander and get told NOT to do your job AND shut up?
