There are a few places around here that offer a full serve lane, but it isn't the same.

According this article, Gulf is making a comeback to Canada. It's unlikely that things will be as they were, but I have fond memories of buying my car tires from them. Cheapest prices in town.

Yes. The early 70s saw a lot of older brand names swallowed up. B/A, Supertest, and Gulf come to mind. A bit later, Texaco disappeared from Ontario. They were bought out by Esso.

Anyone heard of Fred Eaglesmith he has a song about those stations with full service
Its called White Rose Filling Station and it sets the tone for what the fifties was like in
the young peoples world I only caught the end of it as a teen around 1959 and 60
I do remember the times back then well we still had the filling station attendants as well
to mid sixties
As for bombed out in BC there were a few bus stations hit when the
Doukobor sect planted a few bombs Remember that too
