I can't shake the feeling that we're in for a power struggle that will go on and on and on, and we're going to accomplish SFA in the way of actual governing.
BC is now going to go downhill very fast with this ND Premier, unemployment will go up, deficits will increase and the price of housing will fall big time.
It's all downhill as long as this ND dog is premier
So what happens to Crispy Crunch now?
Does she ride off int to the sunset?
Short leashes can sometimes last a long time.
In this case I think Cristy will eventually leave, that will give the NDs More time to govern. They can do a lot of damage in this time a gain more lefties for more support.
The ideal time for Crispy to leave would be once the Liberals are again the government and firmly in power. There is no sense in changing leaders right now. I may not like the woman but she is all we have right now that might give us a chance of getting back into government. The trouble with the Liberals is their tendency to make sacred cows out of the leaders. They did it with Campbell and they are doing it with Clark. And I doubt the PM would temp her out of office with the offer of an ambassadorship in that he would prefer to see her regain the Premier's office rather than have to deal with the NDP.
It will only be time before there is another mass exodus to Alberta.

Don't you think the fact that Horgan is just itching to be Premier has more to do with his "non confidence" than anything the Liberals have done or haven't done. Does Horgan have a finance minister up his sleeve who is more capable that Mike deJong? It's utter & unadulterated Bull Shit! He's nothing more than two faced, arrogant creature!
Weren't people complaining that housing was too expensive?
It's going to be like the Martin-Harper transition. Good times.
You don't seem to be demonstrating it.
But she could! That's what I think a lot of people don't understand. They're all thinking the Liberals have the most seats so they should govern no matter what. But it only means the Liberals get the first crack at governing. If they can't pull it off, we see if the second largest party can do it, and so on. It rarely happens in Canada, but it happens in other parliamentary democracies all the time, and it isn't an affront to the will of the people.
Like you said, it's unlikely the Lieutenant Governor would ask the Greens to form the government, but she could, and that would be in keeping with the way the system works.

Now, isn't that a face that instills confidence?![]()
One could only wish that were so, bill. Don't look for her to go anywhere soon. The party is still behind her. She's proven she can comeback from amazing odds. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see her in the Premier's seat again sometime in the future.
She still is, only a lot older. She has been busy lining her pockets at the expense of our children and their children for 7 generations. She is lying snake in the grass and I hope she disappears from the political landscape in disgrace. That's why Gordon Campbell and her didn't get along- she was a lot smarter than him and he knew it & he just tried to dismiss her as a know-it- all young upstart!![]()

OF course not. SHe is still leader and will be able to hold horgan's feet to the fire every time he lies.ANd to make Weaver look stupid which is not hard.

If the Liberals were smart, they would cut ties with Cripsy now but I am hearing that they feel she is a winner and with chances of an election in the wind, sticking with her would be their best bet. This in spite of the fact that she made an absolute fool of herself in her feeble attempts to cling to power. It is simply not in her nature to give up and though that trait may be admirable, it can also be a detriment when taken to the extreme.

Is any politician honourable? I think some may start out with honourable intentions but the system takes care of that."Honourable". That's just a formality isn't it? It's not like we're supposed to take it literally, right?
What I find so frustrating is people in high places who think Horgan with 41 seats would make a better Premier than Christy with 43. People may not like her (which I can easily understand) but when you compare her experience and proven ability to Horgan's attributes, whatever they are it's a no brainer. With Christy there is also the bonus of jobs!!
