Yup he's my bitch. I feed him, house him, give him health care all so he can do what he does best; consume.

As Frank Zappa once remarked, politics is the entertainment division of the military industrial complex. In other words, politicians have little, if any, real power, despite the trappings of authority allowed them which amount to absurd posturing and the mouthing of inanities.
The real power brokers are the financial institutions, investment banks, hedge funds, billionaire tax havens, media owners and arms dealers. They dictate the manifestos and policies to be implemented so their rule remains secure. They are the inner circle whose power is spelt out as a given.
Talk of strong, stable government is a mantra that ensures there is no deviation from this doctrine. The politician's job is to parrot these empty phrases so we accept our lot in life, so there is no disruption to the pre-existing system, for that is never allowed. The use of your vote is an empty privilege meanwhile. - John Cunningman Egan

Guess what Cliffy, the Bank of Evil borrows from me and pays me to enslave you, a noncontributing consumer.

Dippers aren't all that interested in jobs unless they are very high paying for doing f*ck all. They just want to tax the sh*t out of the rich who have worked all their lives for a decent living. It may have been old Abraham Lincoln who said words to the effect "you can not improve the lot of the poor by diminishing the wealth of the rich".

Horgan the Horrible can't pull it off.

The polls are deja vu to their last election with 2 days to go..

BC Election: Ipsos poll finds 56% say it’s ‘time for another provincial party to take over’

They're a lot of conservatives in BC that will vote Liberal mainly because they don't want uncertainty in the economy. The NDP would give it that uncertainly and that would hurt jobs, housing prices and much more.

B.C., Ontario to lead economic growth in Canada in 2017

I'm wondering if the Dippers aren't going to lose more ground this election.

By the look of it, the NDP may win.

It's the younger crown that are making the difference, mainly because they can't afford a house so they are blaming the Liberals, like anything will be different under the NDP..

LOL They might be able to afford a house, just no job.

It's sad comment on the state of democracy that people don't vote mainly because the candidates are so unappealing; in my riding there's a sociopath/career liar incumbent (Liberal) with a mentally ill freak (NDP) and the Most Clueless human extant (Green) running against him.

I wouldn't sit in the same room as any of them-how the hell am I suppose to choose?

Pretty much! Christy is full of B.S. but at least she focuses on jobs..............the other two are a total lost cause. Christy will likely take 55 seats! :)

Are there no independents running? The party system is the problem. Only the idiots and psychopaths want to rule. If all candidates were independents, they would work toward what is best for the people, not the corporations.
Ya, ya, "if it weren't for the corporations we wouldn't have jobs". How stupid. That is slave mentality. If you aren't working at what you love, you are a slave.

I think it's been determined over and over again that working at what there is a demand for is much more lucrative than doing what you like. There's not much of a market for fornicated dogs! :) :)

Ah, but there is in stud fees and puppies. I love art and I made a living as a graphic artist, cartoonist and a writer. As long as people think they need a job, they are stifling their creativity. I have a friend who is a young single mom who became a carpenter so she could build her own house and she loves to create women's clothing and now she owns her own store. People need all kinds of things and service that can be made locally. Instead they get jobs they hate to buy crap they don't need from countries that make crap with slave labour. And they call this "making a living". It ain't. It is slavery to corporations and banks. This isn't progress. It is regress and/or stagnation. Politics is about divide and conquer, nothing more. It keeps us fighting of stupid sh!t instead of working together for a better world for our children. It's how the rich get us to do their bidding by giving us illusions to play with.
