OTTAWA — Disclosing details of behind-the-scenes discussions about tales of melting banknotes could endanger national security or international relations, says Canada’s central bank.

In response to a formal request from The Canadian Press, the Bank Of Canada released 134 pages of internal records — almost completely blanked out — concerning allegations its new polymer bills melted in the scorching summer sun.

The bank began issuing $100 polymer banknotes in late 2011, saying they were harder to counterfeit than paper notes and would last much longer.

On a brighter note they also do not burn like paper money. At a car fire last week $5000 was saved because it did not burn. Lady won the money at the casino in Courtnay and was traveling to Nanaimo with the money on the seat when her car caught fire near Deep Bay. FFs put out the fire and all the money was legible if somewhat curled even though the seat had been burning.

Yep... they catch you carrying cash like that... you must be looking for drugs.

However after awhile they will split your money with you if you complain enough.

"The United States has five per cent of the world's population, 25 per cent of the world's incarcerated people, and 50 per cent of the world's lawyers (who account for nearly 10 per cent of the country's GDP, an onerous taxation of American society)."

Plastic money it kind of goes with rubber checks.
This problem surfaced in the Okanagan when they
first came out and the whole issue was debunked
at the time. Now we know why the government
came up with another idea that didn't work.

The future of paper (polymer) bills of all denominations is limited. Personally, I carry almost no cash. Need it only for coke machines. magic tricks, ball markers, and sally-ann bell ringers.

O heavens, not ****!

But the simple past "shat" of the verb "to ****" is acceptable. Censorship must be a function of time.
