Come on give the Tories some credit they budgetted 1.1B for the G8/20 the cost only came to 664M. There's 500M savings good for you Mr. Harper.
What can you say about Tony Clement, 50M of 83M budgetted for border security to Muskoka/Parry Sound. I do hope the local air fields and the port of Parry Sound are filled with up to date security goodies because a new Huntsville arena just doesn't cut it. Adscam 100m for a province the Clement follies 50M for two counties. When the Tories screw up they screw up big!

The French G8/G20 - which was supposedly more transparent - came out to $30 million for the whole event.

We spent 20X that amount.

Not only did we spend 20X more, it was proven that the Charter is irrelevant in the eyes our our Fabian Socialist Global Dictatorship.

Come on, how many people can you beat on with a measly $30,000,000?
It's would almost be laughable if it wasn't so disgusting how Clement pork barreled 20 million more than their whole summit for his own riding which he considers reducing border congestion. Shame on those who dismiss such brazen disrespect for those who pay for these shenanigans and supporting it's continuation.

Is it stealing if you spend taxes payers money without their permission on projects irrelevant to the source of funds? Is there a surplus in the border fund that they are sitting on or did it come at the cost of several small, yet vital to provincal economy border crossings?

The question that will never be answered: Was parliament mislead?
I suppose the Conservatives have neatly got around the "Contempt of Parliament" issue. What with a Tory House majority, a Tory Senate majority & a Tory speaker who is left to challenge that has any credibility?
