Of course it does. That is what determines gender. XX is a girl and XY is a boy. That is the only two posibilities. Until science can change that the kid in this story will always be a girl with issues.

And if a person doesn't know at that point that their s/o was Trans, then I'd question the validity of their 'love'. Which is sad because if you love someone, it shouldn't matter, but that's just how I see relationships; I love the person inside, not their body. Loving a body is a bonus.

When I was in school I was the top speller in my class but due to the ravages of time and age I can't spell shit, but I'm still able to be understood by most intelligent people.
