I don't see it as a refusal to make a decision, but rather an admission that there is a lack of sufficient evidence on which to base an informed decision.
we have not yet discovered how we came to have life on this earth, BUT that has nothing to do with any god.
just because we don't know how we arrived on this planet, certainly isn't a reason to go along with the
idea that it might be a god.
in my mind, gods are just the supernatural, myths, fairy tales, no different than santa clause or the
easter bunny. so that idea is out, i'll wait till something more sensible is discovered, but it won;t
be in my lifetime, or many lifetimes from now, i'm sorry i'm going to miss it, it is fascinating
and very interesting.
i'm not going to sit on the fence and play both sides, i'm comfortable, and not afraid that i might
miss out on going thru the golden gates, or burn in some hell somewhere, those are frightening myths
that were crammed down our throats as a child, scare tactics to make us behave, very silly to remember
back, sitting in church and listening to the priest preach nonsense to us, trying to convince us we
must follow along, or else, i've been free of all of that make believe since i was about 12 or so.
yes, i am a happy Atheist, And to anyone who is a happy believer, good for you, the more happy people
there are on this earth, the better.
