As i mentioned earlier - He left clear directions.

Ephesians 6:12

12 For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.

I respect the right of everyone to believe differently. The only time I would react is if others try to tell me I am stupid for thinking the way I do, or when someone's beliefs preach doing harm to others.

First of all what business is it of mine to tell someone else what they must believe and even less judge them. It would be a pure waste of my time an energy. However, that does not mean I don't like to discuss the subject because it is the best way to open one's mind and sometimes even learn something.

The atheist would blame nobody, least of all a being that does not exist.

Strange, I am constantly hearing atheists blaming God for all the terrible things that he "allows to happen" in the world.

Forget it, I guess it took a round about way to be posted. Sorry, reacted to fast.

there seems to be all sorts of atheists, just as there are all sorts of believers, so it is impossible to give accurate opinions of 'either' in general terms.

there are good and bad in every walk of life.

I am an atheist, but I can see from many years on this earth that I am more spiritual and humble than many believers I have met, spirituality does not mean one believes in a god, there are many spiritual and wonderful aspects of living on this earth, one can see that in many places and happenings, just the wonderment of life on earth, and one doesn't have to think in a godly manner at all, the spirituality is inside 'us', and 'we' are in charge of our trip thru this world, and when we die, we will stay for eternity in this earth, in my mind it is very simple, nothing complex and confusing at all.

People who believe in gods, aren't in charge of spirituality, we can share it with them, I don't
mind. lol

Really, yet you gave a pretty powerful "opinion" right here.

I certainly agree that being a follower, is the first sign of some weakness, and is a person who
doesn't realize his/her own intelliglence, and is either too lazy or unsure of themselves to find
their own way, without the guidance of others.

that includes all of the above, including scriptures and all gods. we have so much between our ears,
and don't need to be led blindly around obeying rules that want to hit us right in the guilt area, and
keep us there for our lifetimes, latched onto some fairy tale, much like the invisible friend
my grandaughter had when she was a little child, but as soon as she reached a certain age (5), she
deleted that little friend from her imagination, on her own, without the interference of others.

we all have opinions, we are human, yes those were and are my opinions, and others
have theirs, that is the nature of 'us'.

that is why I am an atheist because I think along those lines, I don't apologize
for that, I have not made my choice lightly, I thought hard and long, many
years ago, and we all have our opinions about 'the other side', we have to,
or else we wouldn't understand who we are, or you, who you are, just the way
it is, but I respect and accept the believers, and have said that 'if' believers
are happy in their position, then that is what they should be, as finding our
balance and happiness is what it is all about isn't it!!!!

but you just finished saying that one CAN'T give accurate opinions..... but then...not that long ago, as I have quoted, you basically called any and all believers as being weak, lazy, someone that believed in fairy tales, someone with less intelligence than a 5 year old.

So tell me Ger why you believe in a big guy in the sky that is going to let you into heaven?

What is heaven?
Some magical place we all can go if we recant our sins?
You would prolly go the other way if you really believe in the bible.

that was in regards to 'religion' more than just 'believing', as I have very strong objections to people
following rules and guilt fed instructions to make them follow in a fearful way, and I feel sorry and
feel that people who don't think for themselves are weak, and don't ever learn their own mind, as they
have been raised to obey religious rules, which I think 'mostly are harmful to the individual becoming
strong in their own right.

I was raised also to follow religious rules, (catholic, for many years), but at about 12 yrs of age,
I stepped back, and continued to step back, it was just what I had to do, so I could give myself
breathing room, to begin thinking and making my own decision about any god, and I am happy I did
that, and no one stood in my way, I was allowed to search as an individual, thanks to my open minded
and wonderful mother.

If I offended you or anyone else, it isn't much different than the many times I have been trashed
for being honest in my non belief of any gods at all, I am still alive and well, so I guess those
who don't like what I say, should be strong enough to handle it as well.

I'm off to watch hockey now.
