Hi! Tecumsehsbones

I am quite aware of Agent Orange. Veterans sure got screwed around trying to get medical care on their return from Vietnam.

I don't want an electric car. Far too impractical at this point for me. But I have an energy efficient car. I take public transportation to/from work and try not to use more energy than I need. I recycle all I can. I don't litter. I don't smoke. I am not sure if I would call myself green but I do try to minimize my impact on the planet.

Yes, US vets were screwed, OD but do you spare any thought for what it did to the people and country of Vietnam?

Someone should bomb them for using that stuff
;)
Canada used it too...Gagetown, if I recall correctly.

Last week, the federal Veterans Review and Appeal Board awarded McAllister disability compensation in relation to his exposure to Agent Orange and other chemical defoliants used at the base in Oromocto, N.B., in the 1960s. The decision came after a Federal Court of Canada order in October that the board rehear McAllister's case.

McAllister, 83, of Burton, says he has prostate cancer, which has spread to his bones. He has also had skin cancer and kidney failure and has Type 2 diabetes.

“The biggest fight that I’ve had is with my own government," McAllister said Tuesday.

Northern Ontario,
I shower in less than two minutes of running water time.
And you recycle the water to flush the toilet.........Good for ya....

Ontario Hydro used it up north to keep broad-leaf and a multitude of other trees over from growing on the line 60 years ago and the only thing they warned the farmers in the area about was to keep the cattle out until a couple of good rainstorm had happened!

To this day only a few shrubs grow where they clear cut!
