Anyway, back to the topic:

so what happens to our pets when rupture comes? Will they be as arbitrarily picked as humans?

Matthew 24:40-41, "Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left. Two women shall be grinding at the mill; the one shall be taken, and the other left." I can see people wearing bright neon signs, saying, "Pick me! Pick me!"

The notion of the rapture is not mainstream Christianity. It is in the fringe. Gees, with over 1500 versions of Christianity in North America, you can't tell your sects without a programme!

I have called the war god Jehovah a petty tyrant and a psychopath. That is my considered opinion. I have not called anybody here that. I know a lot of people call Muslims terrorists and accuse them of all kinds of nasty stuff but I don't hear anybody defending them.
Jack, your hatred of anything Liberal or Democrat and anybody who espouses to those philosophies is legendary. But I have not seen anybody go on about your lumping all those people as idiots on here. The rules are there to facilitate civilized conversation. If you don't know how to be civilized then I guess you can expect to be banned.

And it doesn't bode favourable for being among those to be raptured.

Nowhere near your hatred for anyone or anything that is conservative, republican, Christian or decent. And not anywhere so offensive and abusive way as you and your ilk express your views.

The difference is that you and your ilk are thin-skinnned, while I could not care less about your personal name-calling.

And that is why I asked Ron, et al to explain the obvious double standard.

Unlike you Jack, I don't hate anybody. Philosophies are just concepts, not people but they can be just as dangerous. Hatred is what causes wars, murder and mayhem. And religion is right up there as a major contributing factor. I don't hate Christians, I just think they were sold a false bill of goods.
