In addition to 2010 clearly being the Year of the Tea Party, a good sub-headline is the Year of the Sore Loser. The Republican establishment elites are angry because they keep losing campaigns. The latest example of a “Sore Loser” phenomena sweeping the country is in Alaska where Senator Lisa Murkowski (?-AK) is working on a desperation write in campaign for her seat in the Senate. Murkowski joins Congressman Mike Castle (R-DE), Senator Robert Bennett (R-UT), Senator Arlen Specter (D-PA) and Governor Charlie Crist (I-FL) as politicians who just can’t accept the fact that the Republican Party has changed and they are not part of that change.

There are to may lies with President Obama and the Democratic party. Obama will be added to those presidents who divided the country more than consolidating it. Obama represents to much to soon. I am still waiting for the transparency of Obama's administration that he promised so many times during the election. Congress gave themselves a raise yet those on Social Security have received no raises, not even a cost of living raise for the past two years. Of course medical co-payments went up for them. (congress made sure they paid more for something). In answer more directly to the topic, the Republican party fell apart in 2008, and now is reorganizing itself into what it used to be during the Reagan years.

Naah....That's just the usual Democratic spin when they are running scared;-)....the National Republican party has denounced Murkowski for what she is doing and have already sent the maximum allowable amount of monetary support to Joe Miller. They will also strip her of her seniority for the remainder of her term..
They have also gotten behind another newcomer Christine O'Donnell

Of course that's Democrat spin...it's almost all spin. Almost, because not all Republicans are behind candidates like O'Donnell. Karl Rove almost sounded like he was a Democratic strategist...

Why the categorization? Compare Palin and Ron Paul. No comparison, even if they are of the same party. The same applies to the Democrats. If you strip them of party labels, I'm sure some Democrats probably stand to the right of some Republicans, and vice versa! Just as there are Democrats and Republicans of Character, there are also Democrats and Republicans lacking it. It's not a Democrat vs. Republican issue in the least.

Whatever the Tea Party candidates are they will achieve for the Democrats what the early Reform Party achieved for the Liberals in Canada - several more years in power. Moderate Republicans will find it difficult if not impossible to vote for Tea Party candidates; as a result they will either vote for the other side or not vote at all, thus assuring what Palin, Beck, and co. were trying to avoid. Far from November being a devastating setback for the Democrats it looks like it will be pretty much business as usual.

No its about common sense against the Tea Party. The Tea Party is made up of flakes, and social conservatives. Social Conservatives are those who believe in the
return of Jesus etc. Fiscal Conservatives who believe in the reality of our times,
understand that you have to work with those in other parties or in America's case,
the other party across the room.
The Tea Party, will cost the Republicans big time in the elections and the result will
be the Democrats will maintain control of the house in Washington. Those who are
getting the nod are the silly people face it. They are simplistic, and do not understand how the system works. The woman who won in New Jersey, was once a
witch according to her own words, and her former boyfriend was a witch and so on.
At the same time these folks don't want to attend a Log Cabin Republican meeting
because they are Gay Republicans. The in fighting, is getting worse and those who
are strident and loud and crude, oh for heaven sake the Sarah Palin crowd will
lead Republicans further into the dark ages and out into the political wilderness.
I hope they continue with their efforts, the Tea Party will fade into history just like
the Christian Coalition did some years ago. Time marches on, and it will roll over
the Tea Party just like it has over every other group that wants to go back to a
simpler time, and fail to stand up to the challenges of the future.
