Saskatchewan is the quintessential jurisdiction to show DST isn't worth the stem on a dandelion! When kitchens had tin ceilings, Saskatchewan was divided into two time zones - Central on the east and Mountain in the west. Now as a compromise, the biggies said, "Let there be CST all year round!" And they saw it was good! So there is 'slow time in Yorkton and "fast time" in Meadow Lake. So if there were a savings in energy as the "Fast Talkers" claim, the people in Meadow Lake must be way better off than the people in Yorkton. If you say "Hosresh1t" then I say "Amen!"

The preceding paragraph was censored; all curses were removed for the more sensitive readers.

I cannot wait very much longer for this lousy season to end! I'm sick of this -5 degrees to +2 degrees, every single frickin day! I'm sick of putting extra layers of bulky clothing on! This spring, first warm and sunny day, I'm heading to the great outdoors and getting totally naked! No more of this undershirt, then t-shirt, then your long-sleeve shirt, then your long sleeve sweat shirt, just in case it's colder outside than your anticipating, but in reality you know it's going to make you too hot, so you'll just end taking it off and lugging it around, then your jacket, then your scarf and then your toque. I hate it!!!! In the words of Homer "I hate pants!!!" Bring on spring/summer!!!

Sorry for the horrible run-on sentence.

No, I was trying to be funny. The photo was from last Summer. It's a photo of the front of our house and my wife's flower garden.

Hey. In Nanaimo we are expecting ten degrees tomorrow...With any luck..;-)
I thought so but then I didn't know we share a city! You better look ahead to Sunday - Might have rain mixed with snow but it's not even supposed to be colder than +4. We just had BBQ'd steak for dinner (ate a little late tonight) but it was a little chilly out on the deck. I'm glad my husband agreed to do that part of the cooking. I'll have to have another look at the picture and see if I recognize your wife's flower garden (I'm sure I would be able to pick out an area of town from a flower garden ) - not like most of us don't grow a lot of the same flowers here.

Sure, just don't send an alternative head shrink, like some scientologist shrink, I want one that will prescribe.

Hang in. Only 1.5 or so months to go.

Yeah, maybe that's a better idea. I'll just hang in there.

Maybe less, if we waterboard the freakin groundhog.

That would be pretty funny to watch.

Where's Bush when you need him!!

Lousy two-term rule!!!! :x:x:x:x:x

I think that was his problem the last four years - he was mixing alcohol with the tranquilizers they had him on. Not a good mix. Makes one quite dopey.

I don't want to pee on your parade but isn't the first day of spring March 21st? That's about 45 days away. (Don't hit me, OK?)

Sure, in Canada it is, but perhaps it is a different date in Russia(where Vereya lives)?

March is the first month of spring, right? The first of March is the first day of March, right? Thus, it is the first day of spring, no doubt about that!

Alley, you say -5 is bad? Then what about -17? It is much, much worse...

And I do miss the Sun...
