March is the first month of spring, right? The first of March is the first day of March, right? Thus, it is the first day of spring, no doubt about that!

Alley, you say -5 is bad? Then what about -17? It is much, much worse...

And I do miss the Sun...

Who needs the sun when we have you to brighten our days.

I like the way you think.

Spring is the day the sun breaks the circle filling the sky with every colour imaginable and every womb releases an egg.

Why do womb, bomb, and numb all have silent bees? Perhaps that's a dumb question, but my brain's been wintered out!

We are getting close to ten degrees again today. My wife has a whole bucket of daffodil bulbs to plant. They normally would have been planted last fall but we weren't counting on having a real Winter with frozen ground and everything...;-)

A saw a crow. And several hundred Canada Geese. And an SUV in the ditch. And my neighbours outside. All signs of spring.

Too bad it wasn't the idiot in the SUV that didn't look before trying to pull into my lane last night. I would have been hit for sure if I didn't roll the right side of my car over the curb(thankfully there was snow so it cushioned any blow to the car itself). How I didn't hit the pole just past the curb lip and the SUV itself is beyond me!8O:angryfire:

It did get to 10 here today Juan. What a great day eh! 10 degrees and lovely sunshine. I have no idea what part of town Juan lives in but I'm sure we both saw the sun and felt the warm temps. We went to the show tonight (Taken). It was still nice outside when we came out of the theatre.

We saw robins about 2 weeks ago at the golf course, not sure what the earliest
days are, that they arrive.
I think I reported that we had a whole bunch of robins in our back yard about 8 - 10 days ago. I actually looked it up because I thought maybe they might have came home too early and it actually states that some robins never leave. I always thought robins were the first sign of Spring so it was a disappointment to read that.

It's just the lazy ones that never leave. They must be teenagers.;-):p

Whooooot! I'm having a spring once a month then. Lucky me.

Spring ahead.

--------------------

Our robins definitely leave.

The ones living in our back yard always come back too early. Every March, ground is snow covered, no worms to eat, and there they are, checking out last years' nesting sites.

I've seen them pecking at frozen apples, and wished we had something to feed them. Worms freeze on contact with snow, so that's out.............Anyone know what they would eat??? (the robins, not the worms)

Bread perhaps? Also there may be bird seed available that Robins would eat. I am sure a person selling bird seed would be able to point out a brand that they would eat.
