I know you are joking, Les. But, I was thinking...It may be that the Mounties are on the wrong path. Instead of washing up onto shore, perhaps the feet are washing down from the foothills?
It sounds like, so far, this investigation hasn't got a leg to stand on, and yet the taxpayers are footing the bill!
The investigators need to put in some more leg work.
Perhaps also carried by critters.
Some great white regurgitated after eating most of several surfers? Didn't like the toe jam?

That's not so bad, it's the other way around you have to worry about. A size 12 foot in a size 11 mouth. Pinches the toes.

The victims, I beleve from the reports, were not ones who likely played bourgeois footsie; most were from the waterfront and down-at-the-heel.
I find it all quite distasteful actually.
