Politicians from Germany's equivalent of Ukip - AfD - have demanded a 'Dexit' referendum.

Unfortunately, referendums are banned in Germany except in only two specific circumstances because Hitler manipulated them.

Theresa May is now the favourite to become new Tory leader and PM, with Johnson second.

Stephen Crabb is many people's dark horse.

Sajid Javid and the right wing "neocon" Liam Fox are also running for PM.

Andrea Leadsom has said she is thinking about running and so is Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt.

I still reckon Johnson will win .

Just a few hours or so ago Nigel Farage - one of the three Ukip Members of the European Parliament for South East England - told the European Parliament:

"Isn't it funny? When I came here 17 years ago and said I wanted to lead a campaign to get Britain to leave the Europeans Union, you all laughed at me. Well, you're not laughing now."

He called for a "grown up and sensible attitude to how we negotiate a different relationship", and declared: "Most of you have never done a proper job in your lives."

Needless to say, many of the other MEPs booed and jeered him. LOSERS!

It was the weekly Prime Minister's Questions earlier, in which two lame ducks - Cameron and Corbyn - argued with each other at the despatch box before MPs asked Cameron a whole range of questions.

When Ukip MP Douglas Carswell stood up to ask lame duck Cameron a question, he was met by a disgraceful barrage of boos by other MPs and it took Speaker John Bercow to intervene and tell them to be quiet. This booing and heckling of an elected representative of parliament by other MPs, delaying his question, is absolutely disgusting in a supposed democracy. We have a parliament in which the vast majority of MPs are unhappy with the way this referendum result went, showing how out of touch they are with the people.

Not long after, another MP got up and attacked what he called "Mr Farage's disgusting, gloating speech" in the European Parliament yesterday and said to Cameron "Can you let the European parliament know that this man does not represent Britain?" But Mr Farage DOES represent Britain. Or, at least, he represents the South East of England and the people who democratically elected him to office. And for an MP to come out and say that Farage doesn't represent Britain is, again, disgusting.

As for Mr Farage's speech yesterday, whilst it may have been attacked and branded "disgusting" by many MPs and other notable figures, it seems that a lot, if not most, ordinary folk think his speech was brilliant. Many viewers on YouTube are saying how Mr Farage and his speech make them feel proud to be British, and that they feel so proud that they voted Leave. So we have, once again, a large group of MPs in parliament who are just completely out of touch with the views of ordinary people.

Turns out the thread title, like England's football side, over-promises and under-performs.

Briddin is not, in fact, out of the EU. If that happens at all, it will take at least two years.

By "If that happens at all," I mean that Parliament is not bound by the referendum.

Just thought I'd throw a fact or two into the stew.

You're a bit slow on the uptake, aren't you?

The referendum result is final. Parliament has all but conceded that it will honour the democratic wishes of the people, however unhappy something like 90% of it is with the result.

Not only that, but it'll be politically and probably socially suicidal if parliament ignored the democratic will of 17.4 million people.

Yes, and the football team will advance at least to the semi-finals.

German manufacturers last night demanded that Britain be allowed to continue trading with the EU without any barriers.

The car-making industry said punishing Britain makes no sense – and it called on the German chancellor to give the UK a favourable trade deal.

The French National Front leader said politicians in her country are 'afraid of the people' and vowed to call for a similar vote on EU membership if elected as president next year. ‘I Suppose I Better Get Up!’ What Michael Gove Said After Learning Leave Won Referendum

Leave campaigner Michael Gove with his wife, Daily Mail columnist Sarah Vine

The Brexit vote in last week’s EU Referendum proved to be a shock to most - including for Vote Leave’s Michael Gove.

While Britain woke up to the surprise result, it was in the Gove household where the decision really hit home according to the Tory frontbencher’s wife, Sarah Vine.

Revealing exactly how the day unfolded in her Daily Mail column, she said that she first suspected something at around 4.45am when she heard voices outside her bedroom window.

She wrote: “I was just drifting back to sleep when my husband’s mobile rang. Fumbling, he picked up the call. I could hear every word.

“‘Michael?’ an excited, if slightly weary, voice said. ‘Michael, guess what? We’ve won!’ Thus began the strangest, maddest and, without a doubt, most surreal few days of my life.”

Abuse: Sarah Vine said she had been targeted by Twitter trolls after the Brexit win (Rex)

And it seems Mr Gove didn’t triumphantly punch the air when he heard his side had won.

She added: “There was a short pause while he put on his glasses. ‘Gosh,’ he said. ‘I suppose I had better get up.’”

Vine said that Remain supporters reacted “bitterly” to their loss on Twitter, adding: “Unlike your average troll, they don’t rely on blunt invective to wound their opponents. Their anger takes the form of keenly worded, rapier-sharp attacks that cut deep.

Winner: Michael Gove was a key member of the Vote Leave team (Rex)

“Almost overnight, those of us on the winning side suddenly found ourselves re-cast as knuckle-dragging thugs, small-minded Little Englanders whose short-sighted bigotry had brought the nation to its knees, while making sweet Italian waitresses cry and stopping small Polish children from going to school.”

However, she described the attacks as “the personal price of my husband standing up for his principles”.

Mr Gove is expected to throw his support behind Boris Johnson for the Tory leadership, following David Cameron’s resignation as Prime Minister just hours after Britain voted for Brexit.

Bitter Remainiac loser...
Bitter loser to Iceland.

Ironically there is actually a book "Football for Dummies"

Football - For Dummies
Maybe when they write "Football for Incompetents," Engerland can avoid the humiliation of being thrashed by a tiny island with no professional football league, a total population of 325,000, and a national team run mostly by volunteers, as opposed to Engerland's 4.6 million dollar (recently resigned) manager.

Andrea Leadsom may have become one of the favourites to be the new PM after Boris announced he won't now be in the running. She's also rabidly anti-EU and was a great campaigner for the Leave side during the referendum, so that may help her bid enormously.

Andrea Leadsom tears into the Brussels elites:
