Lorne Gunther had a good article in the Sun a few days ago regarding increasing funding to the aboriginals and how Trudeau is reversing the accountability the Conservatives had put in place.

Will the extra funds actually get used for what is required or will the funds simply be "frittered" away as in the past. Without accountability, we'll never know where the money went and find that the water will still be undrinkable, homes still unliveable and a good education not attainable. For the sake of the children and the future of the aboriginals, I sincerely hope I'm wrong but I also strongly think I'm not. Attitudes, not money, will help resolve the situation these communities find themselves in and until someone has the balls to stand up and say the obvious (i.e. someone who is not PC), nothing is going to change.

DEpends on how and where they did the poll. An internet poll is not a random sample and if the majority of respondents live in Quebec and Ontario it does not represent the views of Canad as a whole.

Take it or leave it. I expect if you look long enough you will find a poll that reinforces your opinion. Perhaps you could try the local chapter of the Conservative Party of Canada.

You must have some internal problem if you can't muster a legitimate argument here.

you need to challenge yourself more to proper news sources if you think that liberal mouthpiece broad has ever said anything legitimate.

in fact, you need to get out more.

I actually need to get out less.

If you're going to raise spending, then at least have the balls to raise taxes first.

They actually did raise taxes already.

It was just limited to the elite establishmenters.

Still end up with the same problem. Most polls are biased to get the results being paid for.

But their generation is entitled. Never had to pay for anything for themselves yet, why start now?

AKA the ones that already pay the most in taxes so you freeloaders can ...........well freeload.

You need to have money to pay for something to begin with.

You must be under that naive assumption that the hardest work is at the top.

Do you have any inkling or the tiniest of clues as to how much this one person contributed in taxes each year, or is your logic clouded by jealousy and a hatred for someone that has achieved wildly fantastic success?

Don't 'cha know that being successful is a sin now-a-days? Jealousy pervades and its truly unfortunate because those who are successful are the ones who provide the jobs.

My boss is one of the successful ones and thank God he is otherwise I wouldn't have a job that pays reasonably well. He is an entrepreneur who looks at the big picture and plans accordingly, thus ensuring that I'll be employed for as long as I want. Over the 14 years that I've worked there, the economy has been good and bad and he's survived both because of his ability to plan ahead. I may not have received a raise in the bad times, but I still was able to take home a pay cheque nor did I ever have to worry about it bouncing.

And I admit, there are those that I work with that want to begrudge his "toys" (cars) but he worked hard to get his business off the ground. When I first started, he had no "family" life - he was always "on the road" trying to get his business going, so he sacrificed a lot. Now that he's established, he has hired others to do the "road" work and he's able to make more time for his family and actually take vacations with them. He didn't take a vacation for years.

There are those who are "takers" and there are those who are "makers". My boss is a maker and takes his responsibility to his employees very seriously. The 'takers" simply have no clue as to what is involved to become a "maker" and are too lazy themselves to find out what it actually takes to be successful. They just want to tax the hell out of the successful ones.

For me, I consider myself exceptionally lucky to have an employer to actually gives a "crap" about me and my family and does his utmost to ensure that my job is there tomorrow, next week, next month and next year.
