Do you have any inkling or the tiniest of clues as to how much this one person contributed in taxes each year, or is your logic clouded by jealousy and a hatred for someone that has achieved wildly fantastic success?
Don't 'cha know that being successful is a sin now-a-days? Jealousy pervades and its truly unfortunate because those who are successful are the ones who provide the jobs.
My boss is one of the successful ones and thank God he is otherwise I wouldn't have a job that pays reasonably well. He is an entrepreneur who looks at the big picture and plans accordingly, thus ensuring that I'll be employed for as long as I want. Over the 14 years that I've worked there, the economy has been good and bad and he's survived both because of his ability to plan ahead. I may not have received a raise in the bad times, but I still was able to take home a pay cheque nor did I ever have to worry about it bouncing.
And I admit, there are those that I work with that want to begrudge his "toys" (cars) but he worked hard to get his business off the ground. When I first started, he had no "family" life - he was always "on the road" trying to get his business going, so he sacrificed a lot. Now that he's established, he has hired others to do the "road" work and he's able to make more time for his family and actually take vacations with them. He didn't take a vacation for years.
There are those who are "takers" and there are those who are "makers". My boss is a maker and takes his responsibility to his employees very seriously. The 'takers" simply have no clue as to what is involved to become a "maker" and are too lazy themselves to find out what it actually takes to be successful. They just want to tax the hell out of the successful ones.
For me, I consider myself exceptionally lucky to have an employer to actually gives a "crap" about me and my family and does his utmost to ensure that my job is there tomorrow, next week, next month and next year.
