Not hard to see why you are part time - Pretty evident - use that in court and the judge would have your nuts.
Im not in a court room and i know the difference between some old guy on a website and a judge in the courtroom. Your getting the star treatment from me now.. Your the one who got all grouchy at a reasonable statement i posted originally. Mr Grouchy..... Id call you Goofer but i have respect for my elders.

Hey! That should swing the Republican vote!

Well what exactly are movement and sleep restrictions in this context?

I don't agree with torture at all, if they won't talk leave them in segregation with minimal contact until they choose to talk about their misdeeds and then base relief on what that's worth. Obama is responsible just like Bush is for his part in this. People should be making their voices heard. We need to work with the information we can gather but no at any price.

I see, physical torture is wrong but mental torture is quite ok as long as it gets them to give up their right to silence.

Let me see, according to your profile your are 26 - that implies 2 possibilities - You are very intelligent and passed the bar well before the average age - or you are bull****ting.
As to your interpretation of Star treatment, it needs work, a lot of work. You clearly have demonstrated a failing that if you did indeed complete law school and pass the bar of rushing to judgment.

As to your respect, i do not need or require it. So please share that with someone who gives a shyt about your respect.

Myself, my opinion is your are living proof that you have a lot to learn. That is not an insult. Though that is in the next comment.

I certainly hope you do not fuk like that. Rushing along like you have.

I see you have taken a liking to me. Has this been building up for a longtime? Of course i was bull****ting, cause i was being sarcastic to your reply cause your coming off as a grouchy old man. I know i have lots to learn and obviously so do you, so please save me the lesson socrates. Your taking something and turning it into a personal attack (with your **** you blah blah blah). That is not the sign of a wise man but a foolish old man. Cause you have resorted to swearing and insults.

You obviously have a problem with me and not with what i said.

This kid is doomed. It doesn't matter who is in power. The forces arrayed against Manning will end up putting him in prison where he will be killed by other prisoners. That's reality. He will serve as an example of what happens to uniformed personnel who betray their country.

What mental torture?

He hasn't been allowed to snuggle with his Mommy? No one reads him bedtime stories? Or is his self-esteem being damaged by the proximity of big, nasty brutes in uniform? Or perhaps there is a jarring clash in the colour scheme of his cell?

Give it a break.

I have NO tolerance for torture at any time, for any reason. Torture usually means the laying on of hands, some physical abuse. Yes, water-boarding is torture, as is severe sleep deprivation, starvation, or extreme exposure to noise.

Mild forms of psychological pressure are NOT torture.

Isolation is not torture.

Taunting is not torture.

Mild sleep deprivation is not torture.

Mild humiliation is not torture.

Bradley Manning is NOT being tortured.

The fact is, it appears the man simply is mentally fragile. Big surprise there. I guess he shouldn't have done the crime if he can't do the time.

Would be neat if all the Canadian parties would condemn the United States but we know it would never happen.

Bradley Manning Now "Catatonic"; Obama ENOUGH! -- Puppet Masters -- Sott.net

As Obama's crime of the destruction of Bradley Manning continues to unfold before our very eyes, Manning friend David House now tells us that over 8 months in isolation with movement and sleep restrictions placed on him have been having their intended effect. House has told MSNBC that by the end of January Manning appeared "catatonic" and that he had "severe problems communicating,"
American torture leaves Bradley Manning catatonic

The title of the thread is misleading, the article's title doesn't say 'American torture'. It would be nice if people actually stuck to the title of the article instead of putting their own bias spin on it..

You commit treason you deserve whatever you get..

So where do you stand on all the germans that helped jews escape occupied territories in WW2. It was quite ok to kill them for treason because they stood up for humanity.

Let's face it, he caught the yanks with their pants down violating human rights all over the place and embarrased them in the eyes of the world so in order to deflect from that issue they try to enrage the public with this treason bull****.

The 2nd ammendment of the US constitution DEMANDS the citizens stand up against corrupt government. This guy actually did it and now they're pissed at him for exposing them.

Yeah physical torture is wrong, segregation isn't torture. If someone wants to trade up for a little easier prison life then the option is there. If not, that's ok too. You want to act in an antisocial way that harms others, then you get removed from society so that you can't harm others. You always have the option of not committing the crime to begin with. If that is too much to resist well, you have to pay the price.

You can't compare German Soldiers helping Jews escape to what Manning did they're entirely different situations, nice try :clown: ..

I still fail to see the crime here.

He outed the US government's continual assistance and participation in the violation of human rights and embarrsaed the hell out of them on the world stage. I'm sure that is in the criminal code somewhere....don't embarrass you government when they are doing terrible, unjust things.

Your Post
guess i can throw away all those legal papers i was preparing for his trial. Iam after all a part time prosecuter on the side. Damn, i cant comment on the situation, i do feel bad for the kid but in the end he is a traitor.

It is pretty evident he did something wrong especially since his hacker buddy ratted him out. Personally a bullet in the head would end his suffering, and what about if he wasnt caught imagine the suffering he would have caused towards his own countrymen...

My Post that set the ball in motion
"Not hard to see why you are part time - Pretty evident - use that in court and the judge would have your nuts". - You found that offensive. Cry me a river.

1st - I do not have a problem with you - I have a problem with what you said.

2nd - I have a problem with guilty first then prove that your are innocent mindset -

3rd - I am not a fan of capital punishment - why - To many innocent people have been executed. Read about the US Gov who pardoned everyone on death row - Illinois I believe - Some law students found the evidence that cleared at least 1- Then the State found at least 3 or 4 more that were innocent- the sytem is broken - Innocent people are executed - Fact.

4th - Love that - it is pretty evident - Now is that what you call proof.

5th- Have you any idea of what a Military prison is like?

6th - Why is he segregated and treated like crap - And then you may understand.

7th - Yes I can be foolish, I can also smell a rat by the way the US Military is treating him. That seems to escape you.

Lastly - I did not live this long being dumb and foolish all the time. A lesson you might consider learning.

Unfortunately folks traitors must be dealt with harshly. Because if we just slap one on the wrist more people will just follow suit. I do feel bad for this kid but in the end he is a traitor.
This post set the ball in motion.

Damn for someone who hates other people that are full of themselves, you sure are full of yourself.
7th - Yes I can be foolish
Then quit going around telling people what they should and shouldnt learn and how much they still have to learn in life. Cause you obviously didnt learn enough and are now just trying to one up me.

You won the argument i dont ****ing care anymore, i spent all ****ing day working out in the ****ing crazy wind, the extreme cold out on the tundra and im ****ing tired.

<<completely unnecessary>>

PS- **** YOU

Well I have worked in the cold for weeks on end, slept in snow banks, - 50- to - 60 - little to no sleep - At least you went home at the end of the day.

Yes I have learned a lot and yes i still have lots to learn.
But one thing i rarely do is moan about things-

And it was not an argument at the start - It was a discussion that went to an argument.

So for one who does not like insults, you get pretty crabby now don't you.

So i suggest we put this aside and forget about it.

Sounds fair to me?
