bama calls on nation to reject words 'of any of our leaders' that feed climate of fear and hatred, normalize racist sentiments
In a statement posted to his Twitter and Facebook accounts, former president Barack Obama said such language has been at the root of most human tragedy, from slavery to the Holocaust to genocide in Rwanda.
"It has no place in our politics and our public life. And its time for the overwhelming majority of Americans of goodwill, of every race and faith and political party, to say as much C clearly and unequivocally," Obama said.
He never mentioned Donald Trump by name, but the statement was a tacit rebuke of the president.

Oh.....for that voice of reason , maturity and intelligence.......
The US picked the worst of the worst for POTUS.......a tragedy of its own. His negative hate filled ,vengeful language in tweets and verbal statements fosters the kind of atmosphere that now has emerged. The POTUS is brutally cold and indifferent to anything .......but HIMSELF> His words ring empty/hollow and insincere.......even when crafted by someone else.
