I wonder if Reagan was a snitch against his fellow actors during the McCarthy era? Did he point the finger at "communists" to win brownie points during the witch hunts? (According the the KGB archives, they turned exactly zero actors, writers and anybody elses in Hollywood.)
I would guess That Reagan was a part of the political influences of his time in California. I'm sure he had an affiliation with the Chandler family which pretty much shaped politics there for several years.

just an assumption though

And I might add, quit lobbying gov't for favours. If you cannot make it on your own merit, F the hell off and die.
Sounds like Sarah Palin's message . Crony capitalists .

I didn't just click the link, I read the article, and the conclusion I came to is you have no idea what the hell fear mongering means or you never read the article yourself.
You should quit concluding then. In your case, it is fruitless.

Well anyone in their right mind should dislike corporate welfare.

in 2015 when Texas’ GDP expanded by 4.8 percent (a figure that was recently revised upward) compared with California’s 3.8 percent GDP expansion.

Comparing unemployment rates, Texas, at 4.6 percent in November, has consistently fared better than California, where the rate was 5.3 percent in November, and has hovered well above 5 percent this year.

kansas was 4.3 percent in 2015

California's state government had 9.3 percent more employees in 2011 than it did 10 years earlier - closely tracking overall population growth - but its payroll costs had jumped by 42.4 percent, according to a new Census Bureau report.
from the above

well that explains why the government like it that way

I've never bee able to understand the Reagan mystique. While president he slashed social programs and health care resulting in an increase of communicable diseases; massively increased the national debt by cutting taxes on the wealthy and increasing military spending; pushed the country to the edge of war through his bellicose anti-soviet rhetoric.

Amazing. I thought even you would remember someone called Mikhail Gorbachev. You know, the man who pushed through Reagan's BS and actually ended the Cold War.

It was strikes in coal mines which then spread to industry that triggered the fall if the Soviets.
