If they give them citizenship, what sory of message does that send? Break our rules and get your citizenship fast tracked? That is NOT the approach to take Jersay. They clearly violated our laws and as such have are among the same people you deem COMMIT CRIMES. While as I said above their crime is not in the same league as murder, it is still an afront to our legal system, and as such they deserve to be deported. Canada is not a revolving door society. You have to be screened and you have to pay your taxes. For years these illegal immigrants have dodged our screening system and never payed a cent in taxes. I have no sympathy for them, just like I have no sympathy for murderers, thieves, rapists, cronic speeders, drug dealers, fradulent tax filers, and drunk drivers. They're all criminals at verying degrees of the spectrum. In our society we do not have the luxuary of picking and choosing which criminals to be nice to.

Well Jay, the population of Canada, or the European population of Canada just doesn't want to produce enough children to keep this population sustainable.

Mogz, not to devalue your other points, but illegal immigrants still pay G.S.T. / H.S.T. and P.S.T., where applicable. 
So when a person comes from a violent place, and comes to Canada and becomes an illegal person and does everything right for 20 years and he winds up being deported because he is an illegal. I don't think that is fair.

I'm somewhat in agreement with you on this point of using our own population to produce more Canadians, I'm ready to begin insemination on a large scale, I only need volunteer ladys to come forward and be inseminated.

If they come from a violent place they can apply for refugee status and then while under that status apply for citizenship. Thousands of Ethnic Albanians did it in the 90's when they fled from the Balkans and a large portion of them followed on to become Canadian citizens. There are ways to get things done, the right and the wrong ways. The right tends to work in your favor in the long run. Do I think it's fair all the time? No, of course not, however I do feel that our laws are the corner stone of our society. If we make exceptions to our laws, what else are we making exception to inadvertently?
I suppose i'm one of those "dinks" you speak of. I'm almost 24, not married, and have no kids. Granted i'm engaged, however we don't plan on having children for at least a few years so we can travel. I, as does my special lady friend, feel it's important to do the things you want to do in life before you become tied down. Does that mean who don't want children? No, we do, just not yet. We've been hardcore traveling since 2002 and we've still got a lot of places to hit. The kids can wait a few more years so I can have sex in a a few more nations

I want a ton of children but not right now. I want to spend some time in the CF, see the world then settle down and raise some children no matter what my tax situation is at.
