Ability to start my own company, ability to buy my own property, freedom of speech. Mail services, gas to hear my house, military protection and safety, labour laws, the right to representation, etc.

If the general contractor is billing it per the hour, to the client. Yes.
But when it's a hard/PO lump sum. It's very competitive, and fast paste.
The union usually send their dog ****ers to the sites they know it's billed to the client by the hour.
Cost of construction is still 5-7 times higher in Quebec.
And they kill 38 a year, compared to our 28, for Ontario that considering we have much more construction.
