Retired_Can_Soldier;1510875]Hey Dickeater how's Daddy's Trust Fund working for yuh?

Isn't it time for you to zap that single brain cell with some red thread or Thai Stick.

If you're correct, you are locked in intellectual contest with a single celled organism. One whole impaired brain cell is more than enough to overwhelm your tiny bag of wit.

The love.....it just radiates out from you two.

Yeah that's us, contaminated with love.

You the readers have no doubt seen the absurd suggestions in this and other threads that I am endowed with a trust fund of millions and am encamped in a palatial mansion. Let me inform you that nothing is more unlikely and that there is a greater chance by far that I am a simple minded village idiot of no great means whatever. So could you'll please stop plugging my mailbox with offers of romance and marriage. I have no money I have no ships about to land and I have no potential whatever to generate capital sufficient to keep you in comfort. Thank you for the lovely pictures though, you're all very nicely apportioned.

Awesome song based on the novel by Frederick Forsyth of the same name.

I'm a huge Floyd fan Cliffy. Saw the Dark Side of the Moon and The Wall. Too bad Waters left and of course now that Richard Wright is gone i doubt there will ever be a reunion, but one could hope.

Roger Waters + David Gilmour: Comfortably Numb, Live, O2 Arena 2011 - YouTube

Waters and Gilmore reunite for Comfortably numb.
Wow! I have never seen that clip. Comfortably Numb should be western culture's theme song or anthem.

And Gilmore is still one of the greatest guitar players of all time.

There's a back story to that reunion. After Richard Wright died Waters and Gilmore began really communicating. Waters agreed to sing at a charity benefit founded by Gilmore and to sweeten the invite Gilmore agreed to do comfortably numb for one wall show.

Sadly it wasn't the one I attended. Although it was still a great show.

Such a shame when egos get in the way of creativity, they made some really awesome music together.

No doubt about it. Floyd did a couple of awesome albums without Waters, but Roger, as you can see in that clip, is the showman. The Wall is one of the greatest albums ever made about the fragility of the psyche. Waters also made a couple of really great solo albums (that I know of). Amused to Death is vintage Waters.

There are still junkies in the US.

Afghanistan is having a vote today while the Taliban continues to grow in power and money:

Not sure this is entirely reliable as it alleges drug money is the principle source of financing and that appears to be against everything the Taliban has taught in the past. Still there can be no doubt that it was merely slowed down, not stopped, by Bush/Obama and the war.

Oops, fie! Shame on me for forgetting that the profit motive is war's greatest motive!!

And yes, as always, let us socialize the cost of the war but privatize its profits so that our Tea Bagging Republican friends can partake of the joy of spending their long days counting all the money we give them.

WW2, Korea, Vietnam.
If a Dem was in power on 911, they would have done the same thing, gone into Afghanistan
And they would have been sucked into this idiocy of nation building or if ya broke it shxt ya gotta fix it.
No to both.
In and out, let them fix it.

Is it time that NATO get the F out of Afghanistan.

Karzai and his cronies have made billions - Pakistan is running the Taliban.

The country is completely corrupt.

Everyone should have left when Bin Laden was killed. The reason for being there was gone after that.
