NSA,

Can you please go into the problems that banning abortion will create. I will acknowledge that a small number of women may go elsewhere to get abortions but I think similar numbers to those seeking other medical treatment that they can't get in Canada.

Your not insinuating that by banning abortion that would be a slippery slope to other restrictions on women's rights are you?? Haven't you "blasted" me and others who have used this idea in the gay marriage debate.

Children in our public schools learn in grade five about birth control. They all know about birth control pills, condoms, gels, etc.

The problem is the "elsewhere", tibear. It happens to be an ally out back (where all the coat hangers are I guess)


We don't want ppl to be forced into a situation from where there is no return.

Woman who try to abort the pregnancy themselves, don't know how to do it effectively nor safely. There has to be recourse for those situations.

Personally I believe we should as a society support women who will bring a pregnancy to full term (rather then abort) with assistance during the pregnancy, and then have the state adopt the child, and try to have it readopted ASAP. This will drastically reduce the # of abortions. IMHO

Tibear what kind of world do you live in? Seriously I ask this? Is it a previlaged one? Has your life been so easy that all you see is black and white? Thats to bad, because the grey world is rich and complex.
