Peapod,

Which part do you agree with?? Is it the part that all life is precious and should be protected from harm?? Is it the fact that children inside the womb should have the same protection as children outside the womb? Is it society has a duty to support these women during their trying times to ensure the child is born into a loving environment?

Again...how many times do I have to tell you??

I agree with showing the women EVERY other alternative to abortion...and in the end if they choose an abortion...that is their business and their decision...

Thats it, if you don't like it, their is nothing I can do about that...

Peapod,

I guess the point I don't understand is how a person could say she values every life and yet not have a problem with a society that routinely kills thousand of young children without so much as lifting a finger.

I'm sure you would do something if you saw a parent beating their one year old in a parking lot. If you believe that child deserves your help in the parking lot, what is different when it is in the womb?

WOW...so I am into this conversation a little late. First let me say I am completely against abortion. RB usually I agree with you on what you have to say, but not this time. About an earlier comment that most people who are aginst abortion are against teaching kids about sex eduation and so forth....ummm no that is not true. I think that if we are going to stop the need for abortion we have to start from the beginning, and that is educating our kids. I love it how so many of you have used the term "women's rights" to promote abortion, I also think that it does nothing for your case. Just because a women is the host of a human being for nine months gives her no authority WHAT SO EVER to determine its fate. What about that person's rights...and I cant wait for the comments that a fetus is not a human and blah blah blah...it doesnt matter at what stage that person is in, that is still a life you are destroying. What if that baby, the one that is just a bunch of cells has the genetic makeup to discover the cure for cancer....but whoops, I'm not ready for a baby so I'll just get rid of it. Well I guess we are stuck with cancer still. Quite frankly if you are not ready for a baby keep your legs closed! Once you seed that egg, it is not your choice anymore, that is a life that you have jsut created...a life that is not yours but someone else's. If we legalize abortion, we as a soicety say that it is ok to make the mistake of getting pregenent, because there are no consquences for your actions anymore....I for one would be really disappointed if we ever got to that stage. hmmm, any comments?

Hmmm...how does it play into this conversation. Whether you want to believe it or not ...since we have crawled out of the caves ( and probably before then) we have lived in a male dominated society. That means women ( until very recently in the scheme of things) have had little to say over what is done to their bodies.
It is their right to choose. This decision should be left between a woman and her doctor.

Are you a Vegan tibear?

Not even close to being a vegan, but realize that I was also the one who debated that animals and humans are not equal. So I have no problem with killing of animals to feed humans.

Killing of humans is where I draw the line.
