Maybe I'm out of touch but here in Vernon we can still get a full breakfast for under $10. How many of those guys even eat a full breakfast, I think most would have coffee and toast and pocket the $25. I suppose it's a little different when delivered to the room along with a $16 orange juice. :) :) :)
An Egg McMuffin meal does not count.

Them I misunderstood. I thought you were saying parents get to choose which system their money goes to. Now I think we're agreeing that the money equally divided per student independently of parents' salaries.

That still leaves redundancies in separate school boards.

And it still leaves discrimination.

But like the senate, official bilingualism, the treaties, and other parts of the conatitution, no party will touch it with a ten foot pole, except maybe a majority NDP if it should have the courage to open the Pandora's box we call a Constitution.

Education is a provincial matter hence we have different curriculums in each province and different funding methods .
Funding in Ontario is much different than funding in B.C. say .

That is true. But the separate school system is a constitutional matter and so involves the federal government too.

and again, what gives you the right to take away my rights as a Catholic in Alberta because you don't like what is happening in Ontario?

Maybe what I keep hearing from the westerners is right. All easterners are whiny, privileged, self centered a$$holes, only interested in their own well being and the he ll with anyone else.

$10 will get you the whole sh*teree here ham/bacon/sausage, 2 eggs, toast, spuds and coffee.

No, it won't. Unless you are talking about a local greasy spoon running a special. Most restaurants will give you a piece of ham, OR 2 pieces bacon OR 2 sausage links, 2 eggs, toast, hashbrowns, for around 12 to 14 bucks. coffee is extra.

Wrong, there's one place here who advertises all that for $7.95.

again, more than likely a local greasy spoon. I can get it for that price to, but on average it is what I quoted above. At Denny's, White Spot, Ricky's, Dutch panakake(sp) house.........

The Mug and Muffin is anything but a Greasy spoon. Denny's is a rip off now since new management took over.

Mug and Muffin..... local establishment. Probably a small Mom and Pop restaurant. Sounds like it is mainly a coffee shop. Either way, my point still stands.

"MUG & mUFFIN" has an Irish ring to it.

Is it near a police station?

Good 1/4 mile- her menu is posted right outside, I walk by there once or twice a week so next time I'll check it, it was within a few months that breakfast was $7.95. Vernon has many reasonably priced eateries. (The casino isn't one of them) :) :) Not like Reno for sure.

I can honestly say that I've eaten in Vernon more than once in my life.

...can't remember eatery names tho.

"Better east here. The next stop is Armstrong!"

(I used to ski at Silver Star/ Putnam Creek quite often for a portion of my life)

A good one for lunch (and breakfast I would guess) is Diner on 6- it's on Hwy. 6 downtown Vernon next door to Timmy's. Huge burgers of various kinds with soup or salad anywhere from $10 - $12. Beef dip and fries for about $10.

Everyone knows that politicians keep their promises.

He'd have no choice on this one. If he is elected and wants to do something with the Senate he will be unable to do it alone. Harper has tried that and it didnt work. So its either keep this promise or dont touch the Senate at all.

As someone who lives in downtown Ottawa I can tell you a full breakfast for $10 or under is damn near impossible here. Though I will agree the $16 orange juice is a bit much. $4 or so is the highest Ive seen for that - and even that is insane.

Quebec just ignored it. No reason why Ontario can't.

How close is the closest oil rig to Vernon? How close is the closest booming
economy? How close is the closest Provincial or Federal Capital? Outside of
tourist season, what excuse do the resteraunts have for jacking up the prices?

You've got it good. Enjoy it.

What will a measily TEN BUCKS get you in Ottawa?!

Cold Camembert with BROKEN CRACKERS, that's what!
