Anyway, this really reinforces what former presidents Carter and Clinton have said. Carter said that some of the more virulent criticism of Obama has been racially motivated. Any talk of Obama’s assassination probably has a racial element to it. According to Clinton, the ‘vast right wing conspiracy’ is very much alive, though somewhat weakened compared to when he was the president.
And indeed, we saw similar behavior at the tea parties, Town Hall meetings etc, where Obama’s picture was drawn with Hitler’s mustache on it, where Obama was portrayed as an African witch doctor etc.
Indeed, it is a wonder that Obama has not been assassinated already; FBI must be doing a fantastic job to keep the miscreants in line.
Incidentally, I have not heard any Republican politicians condemn the poll.
